Yes. I was actually writing a fic about it where reality ensued; a rogue Black Knight makes an army because "did you actually think the death of one man would restore peace to the world? After everything Britannia has done?"

Poor Britannia would become the new Area 11
Mileena MadnessEspecially considering the person on the throne after Lelouch is his sister. Cripple or not I would imagine a lot of people not be to trusting of the idea that a direct blood relative of the demon emperor is now sitting on the throne. Even worse if it ever got out that she was the one firing the nukes.

Consider that neither the show nor Lelouch himself ever actually suggested that "the death of one man" would bring eternal peace and prosperity to the world or get rid of all problems.
It simply allows people on otherwise opposing sides to step in and discuss global issues using some common ground, which actually happened after the Napoleonic wars and both World Wars of the 20th century. Napoleon became a scapegoat and so did the respective German leaders. Neither of those solutions were permanent or free from unintended consequences, but they arguably did improve the world to a certain extent. Thus Lelouch just needed to make the world better, at least temporarily, and not perfect. That depends on future events and decisions made by those left in charge. From that perspective, the plan is exaggerated yet fairly logical and especially possible in this sort of context.
So let's not go for an oversimplification even by the limited standards of the show (which, in any event, were never particularly realistic and thus extremely pessimistic interpretations that suddenly ignore this and only selectively jack up the realism are more emotionally cynical than strictly rational).
Either way, there's almost certainly going to be a new conflict, even if it's on a different scale and with different parties involved (plus with Zero and the UFN as recognized instruments of peacekeeping), so that means the status quo isn't going to be somehow permanently frozen. Even the last arc of the show had a couple of characters imply that much.
Except that his sister was quite visibly opposed to him, he humiliated her in public and the only nukes she was responsible for (aside from very few people knowing it was even her that got the switch for the final battle) were being launched at Emperor Lelouch's slave forces.
Not at the UFN, which is essentially the current "winner" after Lelouch's fall. Thus, if anything, she'll have backing from any old "loyalist" Britannians who sided with Schneizel over Lelouch and from the UFN forces. Which, for that matter, probably also had a hand in imposing conditions that would keep Britannia's power under control, rather than letting it run free. How harsh those conditions are can absolutely vary (history has shown a full range of options), but it's clear that the winners are the ones who make the rules, rather than some impartial entity. That also applies to the real world, where justice is far from guaranteed.

her being against her brother wouldn't automatically mean she is not just as much of a problem. Lelouch came in admitting to killing the emperor. So it just becomes a series of trading one ruler for another with the people having no way of knowing if history won't repeat itself.
Won't really matter to the general public what will matter is she was in control of it the moment that information gets out. Pretty sure those brainwashed soldiers had family and friends. They don't even get a choice in who they follow.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaWould it be possible for Nunnally to die under mysterious circumstances given the craziness already present? That would be a spark that can set off the giant powder keg that the Code Geass world was when the Zero Requiem occurred.
I would rather it be what they showed in the trailer terrorists stirring conflict.
Mileena MadnessIt's been awhile but Code Geass is finally back.
Why is Suzaku in his old Knights of the Jobbers outfit?
Mileena MadnessShinkiro with Energy Wings?!

That's definitely not Shinkiro, if you mean the purple and gold mecha with the energy wings.
It's the same teaser trailer they showed us late last year. There's still no release date or new info.

My initial reaction is still "what could possibly go wrong?", now followed by "thank god the mechs are still hand-drawn".
I just want to see why shit is blowing up in R3. :V
Mileena MadnessWell Shinkiro also got destroyed at the end of R2. The Tristan Divider took it down before it got wrecked by the Lancelot.
Surprised they are still bothering with new weapons. Sure it gives something for Cornelia, Kallen, and the quirky scientists to do but it doesn't seem like peace time if they are making new knightmares.
Mileena Madness...did I just see a f'cking centaur Knightmare in the Akito trailer?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yes.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.x3
I mean realistically peace time was never going to last long. Britannia is still an empire that likes to invade other nations and strip them of their identities and even ignoring that reasons to go to war are easily found by those who want to.
Yep. That's the Vercingetorix.
But what about Nully and her gentle world? :V

Mileena MadnessIt is realistic. Just cause there in an age of "peace" doesn't mean their gonna stop developing weapons & warfare in general willy nilly. This is humanity, I'm pretty sure Europe & the U.S. didn't stop weapons development just cause Hitler died, theirs no shortage of someone or some group a great amount of people want dead.
Unless Nully spear-headed a huge demilitarization effort, I can't imagine she can do much over her military without resorting to a lot of force.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He wanted a gentle world for her, but he's not deluded enough to think it would last forever. World peace even for a short time is still more peace than most of the world would normally experience.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
So pretty much if things stayed rational and the bear minimum realistic then Lelouch's grand plan would have fucked up on the spot right?
