And they never came up before because Rassilon hadn't put them in his head meta-yet.

Shifting accents are quite common in parts of the fens, where some people's accents shift based on who they're talking to.

Missy explicitly nabbed 12's accent.

He's the Doctor. He could be anywhere in time and space.

I don't recall her stating that.

But I do remember Yana Master explicitly choosing to regenerate into Simm to match the Doctor's youth, so I'm not surprised.

In Deep Breath, she says something like, "I like his new accent. I might keep it."

Which implies her Michelle Gomez body actually has an entirely different accent but she chooses to speak like the Doctor. Hey, maybe her Southern Belle voice from Witch's Familiar is her real accent.tongue

I love Time Lords and accents. Ten got Rose's accent, Twelve got Amy's accent, Missy got Twelve's accent...

Huh, so apparently Peter Serafinowicz is voicing the fisher king. This'll be good, his voice acting was the only reason I liked darth maul.

Also this means the fisher king is technically played by three people at once. huh.

5 minutes to go. Been thinking since Tuesday- wouldn't be surprised if that who co-ordinates thing is a red herring. It felt clumsy at the time.

Also - that final corpse looked like a ghost (in my memory - only seen it live) rather than the body. We know what it can't be, but ?Plot Point?

Has anyone asked, if Cass is significant enough to add to the Characters page, how do we distinguish her from Cass?

The Bootstrap Paradox. Google it. Said the Doctor. So I did. And hence so the episode flowed from there.

Whoever said the Doctor was in the coffin was right.

Was good. Crew was adorable as before, though not really a fan of O'Donnell dying for Bennett's manpain. But my main interest was Clara telling the Doctor to not die until the next companion.

I definitely liked that episode, but I'm a bit of a sucker for timey stuff. I expected something different from toby whithouse, but it was still a good episode.

[up][up][up] Yeah, that was me. There was an unidentified individual and the TARDIS was freaking out. After a few decades of Who fandom it's not hard to spot

I wasn't too keen on Cass and Lunn hooking up afterwards although Sophie Stone's daughter responded with this which made everything better.

I guessed who was going to be inside from the moment we saw the Doctor Ghost.

I loved them going back in time to discover, everything's fine. I always love that trope.

I think my favourite thing from this episode was Cass being too competent to die due to being capable because of her handicap

Second favourite thing was the character study of Clara's mourning; she's okay with people dying, but they can't die with her. The Doctor's response of being prepared to do so much more because Clara asked him to was great as well. I'm really appreciating this far more actively-considerate Doctor.

Didn't like the maximum heteronormaitivty in this episode. It's the alien with the homosexual coding, and all the other meaningful relationships are between a male coded character and a woman. Further more coding the alien as a fetishist is really rather unfortunate.

Wait what? The fisher King is homosexual and a fetishist? Where is that stated?

Oh wait you mean the other guy? The fetishist stuff I see (though as we've seen the race in the past it's clearly a personal trait rather than a race wide one), but homosexuality?

I think they mean the alien with the beard and top hat, and the way they played his interactions with the Doctor.

Yeah I just realised that. But it's an individual character trait that we know isn't race wide, why's it a bad thing? Also I'd have said he was rather flirting with all three of them and not just the Doctor at that point.

Prentice's mannerisms is what you might call 'camp.'

Now that I think about it, the opening scene is ingenious; as far as I can tell it has one purpose only; to enable the final scene where The Doctor explains how there was never any threat at all to be something more in the audience's mind than simple exposition. Without that first scene; the final scene reads really boringly; but with the first scene it becomes an anticipation of a punch line.
