I don't know if I want my kids to watch Doctor Who if its secretly about drugs and occultism.
For one thing, that might give them the idea that they can really exist instead of being figments made up for this bit of fearmongering.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYou have adorable imaginary children, Bocaj. Except for that one hellspawn. You know which one.
I don't, but you do.

Fear is a superpower.Doctor Who is also about social justice and revolution.
The Doctor never really stopped being a hippy. Just ask Ace or River.
I don't want my fake not real kids exposed to social justice or revolution either.
They may try to overthrow me.
I have become slovenly and over-confident in the lack of actual children. They could use this false sense of security and topple me easily.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersBribe them with imaginary candy.
EDIT: Am I the only one who thinks our Doctor Who thread never feels as much like our Doctor Who thread as it does when it has nothing to do with Doctor Who?

Fear is a superpower.Again, imaginary things has a lot to do with Doctor Who. All stories in the end, etc.
Also, John and Gillian.
There.
So if Doctor Who is everything does that mean I could talk about anything and have it be on topic?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDepends.
I mean, according to the Doctor Who wiki, apple.
And, I mean. Occultism is kinda a thing in British culture anyway.
Pop Between Realities, Home in Time for Tea 12 (Chariots of the Gods?, Ace of Wands, The New Age)
John Dee.
I recall not being in the fandom when I read this storyline. It was early 2009, so it would have been almost a year and a half before I gave in.
Makes more sense now.

Fresh-eyed movie blog
Signal boost. Find the kitty. All you tumblr and facebook people. Also twitter. Twitter again. The Eruditorum Guy is our friend and a member of the community.
I mean, that's the thing with social media and the internet in general. We can communicate with people all over the world. Even if you can't help directly with this situation, you can pass the information along and it might get to someone who can help.
...I don't have social media stuff, but.
I should have had one of you retweet the Last War In Albion kickstarter thing to Linkara. He retweets a lot of stuff. And with his internet-quasi-publicity, that means reach. That means helping people he retweets. I mean, almost 30000 followers.
There might be a Eruditorum volume 5 book launch party thing or whatever.
The Invasion. Psychogeography.
Yay chinwagging.

Possible companion announcement?
I mean it says he'll be joining the cast when the show comes back and be in the final episode. I'm kinda hoping this means we'll finally be getting an Asian companion but it seems more likely he's gonna be a one-off character who returns for the finale in some small capacity, not unlike the continuity cavalcade at the start of "The Pandorica Opens".
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Hey, that thingy says Ben Miller's gonna be in Series 8.
I know it won't be, but wouldn't it be cool if it's as his Primeval character James Lester? Primeval/Doctor Who crossover would be great.
Fear is a superpower.I hope he sticks around, or at least gets to be a bit of a reccuring character. For some reason I really like reccuring characters.
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonI doubt it, because then there would be five people in the TARDIS this season, which might be a bit much.
That begs an interesting question: what is the biggest the TARDIS Team has ever been?
I mean, recurring through several episodes. Journey's End doesn't count.
"We're home, Chewie."Man, I hope Sanjeev Bhaskar's playing an important character. Doctor Who needs more Indian people.

EDIT: Oh, right. Danny's sister. Whom I don't think we've actually gotten a casting announcement for yet, so maybe she'll just be in the latter half of the season?

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Yeah, there was an indian family in sja, that japanese woman in torchwood and I think eda's had an indian companion, but apart from that there aren't many asian recurring characters I can think of. Being a british series, I personally think it ought to have more.
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonThere's also Chang Lee.
I mean, that's still an absurdly small number of Asian people.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Does who have more black characters or asian characters?
The internet is a waste of time, and that's exactly what's right about it-William GibsonDo you want to include blackface/yellowface/etc. in that?
Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.
...Eleven could be on a sugar rush. Or some other kind of drug thing that makes you hyper, I dunno. I don't know what different drugs do I just know they're bad.
Drugs are bad, kids. Stay in school. And never run with scissors!
Also watch Doctor Who.
Fear is a superpower.
