Agatha better not decide not to go with them. I'm sick of these separate plotlines! Get the gang back together! And Othar.
Well, Othar I can do without but Krosp I need to know about.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!I suppose I can understand if Agatha doesn't join them but I'd really like the group not to split back up for a while.
Is Tarvek picking out Gil's outfit? He seems incapable of stopping himself from acting as an unsolicited fashion advisor, it is highly entertaining.
It does appear that Tarvek is picking out Gil's clothes, yes. That's amusing.
Also, while I know they're just needling each other, just imagine if Tarvek did become an ambassador for Wulfenbach. It's kind of amazing to think of.
Finally... why does it not surprise me that neither Tarvek nor Gil thought of the possibility that Agatha wouldn't want to go with them? Even after Agatha has shown that she's more than willing to push both away if she feels it's necessary? Sigh... boys.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Yeah, they'd follow her anywhere so why would they not expect her to follow them?

Good heavens! Agatha is actually welcome for once!
So this is probably some plan by Albia to have Agatha join her research team forever, as hinted in the previous page.
I wonder what Albia is going to do later to keep Agatha in.
Even without considering I was thinking of a certain memetic line from an aquatic admiral when I saw today's comic.
Though, I'm at a loss as to where Agatha could go that wouldn't put her in a similar situation, of being held at the whim of the leader du jour. [edit] About the only person who might be willing to offer something without such strings attached, Tarvek, currently doesn't have anything to offer in that regard, having no territory of his own.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpAlbia knows how to throw her weight around. She makes sure that everyone knows the Big Chair belongs to her.
There almost has to be some catch. Heterodynes are almost universally unwelcome outside Mechanicsburg, and with good reason. One would expect Albia to be nearly as wary of Agatha as Voltaire was: I would half expect her accommodations to be in the Tower of London.
You don't suppose Albia knows what happened to Bill and Barry, do you?
"Give sorrow words; The grief that does not speak knits up the o'er-wrought heart, and bids it break." William Shakespeare - MacbethThis might be Albia applying the same logic that Lex Luthor uses when inviting The Joker to join in on his team-ups... sure, the invited party in question might be unpredictable and dangerous. But if you invite them along, at least they won't also be angry at you for leaving them out.
Yes, I know that Agatha is way more benevolent than The Joker, but not everyone knows that, and she's also way more unpredictable (even to herself!) than Joker, somehow.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Beware gods bearing gifts.
Trump delenda estWe've seen all sorts of magic, like Violetta's impossible substitutions, Albia's shrinking, the sparkhounds turning into knights, etc, that we have grown numb to it. But the golden-eyed Agatha and the golden-eyed Albia have stood at the thresholds of Something Else.
What are all these things hinting at ... and where do they-with-hats fit in?

Noblesse oblige in action...
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. So it looks like a long stay ... but things have a way of getting thrown about by the stationary airscrew.
Mr. Tock was big, too.
Also, remarkably convenient. Sure, there's a chance all that is purely coincidence. But I've learned not to expect coincidence in this comic.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Aye!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!The minion proactively bringing up the relevant issue right while Albia is talking to an important visitor.. at least that much was probably staged.
In the words of Garak: "I believe in coincidence - Coincidences happen every day - but I don't trust coincidences."
Also: Eaten by frogs...
Actually, though, I suspect that the other Sparks fighting over said laboratory space will be somewhat mollified that it's not being given to one of their rivals. And after Agatha is done with it, it will be even more desirable. Assuming it still exists.
Explosions are part of the Sparking process. When things Explode, SCIENCE! happens. If things aren't blowing up, you're not doing it right.
I suspect that the reason they're called Sparks is that where they show up, things tend to burn down.

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Well, that was predictable. Which I know on account of people in this thread having predicted it.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Updated with final version.
Though, I'm wondering what she plans to do with Gil, given his threat to Wooster back when the circus troop went to England. I think "permanent part of my garden" qualifies as "cause".
All your safe space are belong to TrumpSo now we find out whether an immortal queen with godlike powers has what it takes to keep an Heterodyne tamed.
(my guess is no).
@Greybeardfan there was some sort of uprising (Perhaps roughly corresponding in time-frame to the Gunpowder Plot or perhaps the Essex Rebellion) they failed to kill Albia, but succeeded in setting off some sort of device that caused England to begin sinking, and nobody's been able to figure out exactly what they did.
