"Paris needs pants."
The only reason I'm not laughing out loud like a loon is Dad is sitting nearby and you can NOT explain this kind of joke in less than ten minutes. Context -the context is so important!
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettFirst, agreed, "Paris needs pants!" is one of the best lines ever.
Second, well, we've known for a long time that Tarvek is a clotheshorse, likes playing with dolls, and is a Spark on top of all that. The idea that he can somehow produce a full outfit in pretty much the same style as her father and get it on her that fast is totally unsurprising. Honestly, my only question is if he whipped that up on the fly or if he had it already on-hand; I have no problems believing either.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster."Paris needs pants" shall forever be remembered.
On the other hand, Tarvek's piorities (he has to be wearing better clothing to meet with Agatha) and Agatha noticed him anyways.
Now, what will happen next? Is Grandma up to things that will drag Tarvek away or will Tarvek just get those better clothing before meeting up with Agatha?
I hope they do; those two bounce off each other in a marvellous way. Only outmatched by Gil joining in.
I mean, let's be specific. The phrase is "Paris needs pants!" with emphasis. The emphasis makes it funnier.
I think that Agatha's biggest surprise is merely that Tarvek is there. After all, last she knew, he was stuck in Mechanicsburg, and so far as anyone knew, there was no way out of that time bubble. Her shock is because this probably puts a ton into play that she didn't know about before.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. What are the chances that by the time Tarvek tries to change he runs into Gil and he forces Tarvek to meet Agatha in a Shirtless way?
Well here goes nothingProbably low for that specific circumstance, but with all that power flying around, I wouldn't bet against Tarvek getting his clothes destroyed in some fashion.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Regarding Tarvek's outfit, we know he has just gone to fetch clothes. He said "In a moment" so I fully expect him to emerge in a strip or two's time (puns always intended) decked out in something truly momentous.
"There's a place in France Where the ladies wear no pants" I'm so impressed with Colette, taking over naked as an oyster. She has nerve, and also she snapped to as a Spark very fast.
Flatus MaximusMy impression was that she was so wrapped up in breakthrough, plus dealing with the city, plus dealing with her father's death, that she never even noticed she was naked.
You know, considering her level of undress, "Paris needs pants!" works with either English English or American English.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett@ 32 steps: I meant chances of Tarvek being caught when he is changing shirts, not the Power shredding the shirt. As much as Colette is the mistress of her realm she has to clean up house first. Besides where the hell is Hoffman?
Well here goes nothingParis is such a tease.
(It could theoretically be a reversed Hanged Man, since that's got the same pose upside down, but that's a longshot.)
You left out "thematically, the World comes after the Last Judgement". Now, guess who pronounced and delivered a murderer's fate not so long ago?

However the usage of the Judgment card tends to have some trumpets all around it.
Edit: This might be a WMG to an extent but... How many of the Major Arcana of the Tarot have we had in the Paris arc? It seems that Paris has the Tarot Motifs.

Well here goes nothingAlarms, sirens, flashing lights and Beausoleil's escalating dread weren't sufficient?
Meant in the depiction but so far we have had:
The Fool: Hoffman.
The Magician: Voltaire
The High Priestess: Grandmother Sturmvoraus
The Emperor: ___ perhaps Gil
The Empress: Zola did paint herself as such
The Hierophant: ____
The Sun: Zola with her mask.
The Hanged Man: Beausoleil
Judgment: All the alarms.
The World: Collette in the representation of "new mistress of Paris".
Some of the spots are there but it is a quick overview of the ones I recall just now.
Well here goes nothingEmperor this arc is easily Tweedle.
DoodlesFunnily enough, Ding-K is playing the part of the Papess/ High Priestess rather well. Full of much useful and occult knowledge in both his left and right hands, acting as a guide and teacher when needed (but, only when needed) and, although not always being cryptic, is definitely not quick to come forward with all of the secrets all in one go. Oh, heavens, no: one must keep one's mystery!

Comic for Monday, July 3, 2017: sneaky gate permalink
This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeWas just looking at the new page on the GG site. That False Child line is just insulting. Amazing how cults adapt, though.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettSeems like her command voice still works.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Dunno I thought of Tweedle going onto the Wheel of Fortune/ The Tower (yeah mostly because of the damage in the interpretation of the tower).
Frankly I did not see that option coming.
On the current page: it seems we are getting the confirmation that the Other has gone onto full stasis mode and therefore hasn't made a big rule patch to keep Agatha out of the command chain.
Edit: It seems my typing was a bit too slow.

Well here goes nothingLu overestimated how effective her improved calling system was.
On the many united underground kingdoms thing, how many are because Princess Chroma and Hoffman have been busy?

I myself see no reason for putting pants on Collette.
