Yep, he vun krezy big monster, you betcha, ya syure.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!They're fine.
Did he just do a short-range nuking?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettIt seems he did but he is spending the battery of his mace at a good rate. Also or is it me or we have been having several zappy sticks in the comic's run?
Well here goes nothingI'm thinking those soldiers resemble Zombie Andronicus.
What makes you think the Platonic Solid has a battery?
Oookay, this guy is bad news. I don't think making him angry is a sensible strategy. I *hope* Agatha will come up with something smart. Or Tarvek. Or Gil.
Alas, poor Wasisname, a fellow of infinite jest and part-time wolfiness...
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.I can't help but think that carrying around all that zappy is bad for one's long term health. Hence that skin condition, Andronicus, old bean.

Woooah there. Andronicus, buddy. I did not need that Nightmare Fuel in the morning.
It was going so well until it exploded. For the Heterodynes and being sneaky... well, for one thing, The Sneaky Gate wasn't invented in a vacuum. The Heterodynes knew full well that there's a time and a place for being subtle. And while the more bombastic Heterodynes (which, to be fair, also includes Bill and Barry - though Barry proved, with Agatha's early life, that he could be remarkably subtle when he felt it necessary) are certainly the ones who get the most attention, not all of them were - some skulked in, and the castle certainly suggested that at least some of those were true Heterodynes.
Also, in many ways, it's easier to pull of "subtle" if everyone thinks of you as brash and blatant.
For today's comic... oof. Dimo wasn't kidding about that mace.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I guess I should have said, "People don't expect the Heterodynes to be sneaky." Yes, they're sneaky. Yes, they built the Sneaky Gate and can be very strategic & smart in what they do. But that's not their reputation. The rest of Europa's too busy telling stories about the Jaegers and giant evil clanks and horrific plagues and whatever else the Heterodyne's throwing around at the time.
I recall Gil saying that everyone underestimates Agatha: they think they can catch her or cow her or use her, and she just... outsmarts them.
As for today's page, Aw geez, there goes Tybalt. I am getting very nervous for Da Boyz.
Seriously, every time I look at that mace, it reminds me more of a foam bat. The pink color does not help in that regard. It's difficult to take seriously.
Which leads to terminally erroneous tactics.
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!danime91: It really does. Seeing what it does to people is the only reason I can take it seriously.
Truly, dot iz a demned mace.
However, it was the blade that Dimo called "Krazy Bad".
And Girl Genius suddenly turns dark.
Really? Vaporizing the faces of a bunch of mooks is hardly grimdark compared to what has been done before. Though if Tybalt is dead than that is somewhat raising the stakes.
I don't think we've seen people die in this level of detail before. The closest I can remember was Bang and Zulenna's duel, and that was relatively bloodless. Even the Castle squishing people wasn't on screen.
That is true. Though the lack of blood and the fact that it's just *poof* faces gone does decrease the inherent level of graphic violence a bit.
I don't think any of the guys we can see were Tybalt.
So it seems like he aged them to death. Which, in his current condition, isn't a surprise — there is weird time-altering stuff going on, so of course his weapon somehow involved the same power.
But on the other hand, this is the weapon he has used all along, including way back in his pre-craziness glory days. He's not a Spark, so he didn't make it himself. I'd guess it came from Van Rijn. What does this say about Van Rijn and what he was up to *well before* everything went haywire?
A sci-fi story and a fantay story walk into a literal bar...And when I saw the mace all I could think was something in these lines 'All craftsmanship is of the highest quality and menaces with a spike of adamantite.'
Well here goes nothingAre they being aged to death? It looks more like he vaporized the flesh from their faces.
