Also, remember what Old Man Death said? It'd be even more impressive to get a hat via deception than brute force. And if Maxim can get a new hat that way, Dimo sure as heck can.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Interestingly, there's a messed up speech bubble in the bottom right of panel 2.
We never do what I want to do.
Does Dimo count as an abomination of science?
Dude! You can't just ask if someone is an abomination of science!

I really miss Maxim. I guess he's stuck in the city....
Huh... I wonder if his thing will be to get more handsome as he ages. The horror!
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettYou mean like project Bishounen (Bishie)?
I thought Japanese Sparks cancelled that one out...
Well here goes nothingIf by "the city" you mean Mechanicsburg.. no, we've seen him outside the time-bubble here.
@47906 Well, you really shouldn't have to - it's the kind of thing one brags about, after all. Also, if you think you'd want to keep that on the down low, well, you've obviously never played with Phil Foglio's poker book.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I didn't read that as pride so much as evidence of an unhappy marriage.
I think there's a bit of both. But along those lines, Boris seems pretty cavalier about being an abomination of science.

Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It's like asking someone if they are a genius or extremely wealthy- it's just not done.
I always thought that bit was pretty weak.

This is an automated program that checks the Sneaky Gate every 5 minutes. source codeMoxana points for shigimiya.
Technically, it's only one decapitation...
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Unless that guard was wasped (likely) *and* this can be proven (less likely), the Master is going to be very unhappy about this.
Stick the weasel in the guard's face. Of course, whether the Master would accept this as proof is another matter. Plus, if the Master/one of his agents never ordered the guy to set up the roadblock, he'd at least be guilty of acting without authorization.
On another topic, if the guard is a revenant, and the head of the wasp-conspiracy is currently unconscious down in the Library, who ordered him to attempt this?

One of the Lucrezia Conglomerate?
Well here goes nothingWe should call them "Lucrezia Incorporated". Because puns.
And pretty good puns they are, too!
If it moves, eat it. If it doesn't move, kick it—then eat it!So is the guard asleep or poisoned? I only guessed asleep...
Got to love Agatha and Dimo.
I'm thinking of Vi and Zeetha in the Great Movement Chamber now...
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettIf you want to split hairs, a drug that puts you to sleep administered against your will is poison. It's just supposed to be a non-fatal one.
But for the question of fatal versus non-fatal, I'm guessing non-fatal, but lasting for at least half a day. I think it'd be suspicious if dead bodies just start turning up among the guards, but you don't want them coming to and being able to track you quickly.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
Eh, I'm sure those guards will be snoozy time in a few minutes. Because Smoke Knights.
Zeetha is very quick on the uptake.
