Thought:
Time freeze in Mechanicsburg goes down.
Bang goes in and finds Klaus.
Bets on results?
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettHe gets whisked off by a Lucrezia before she gets there. I suspect we haven't seen the last of the problems with him being wasped.
So all this delayed Agatha long enough for Gil to show up? Please don't tell me that we're in for a repeat of the years in actual time it took for her to get back out of the castle. This time next year, will we still be watching her try to make it to Paris?

Probably not as much time as she spent in Mechanicsburg, but it did take her three whole years to get there in the first place.
All I can say is that the authors have acknowledged / lamented that the medium is very slow. Knowing that helps me muster some patience on those days when I'm about ready to get out and push.
They're still establishing the second act, right? Agatha has told us where she's going, why, and who wants to stop her. We've seen Mechanicsburg, so that establishes Why. We've met the Empire, and we've met the Storm Lords, so there's Who. We've had Agatha vs Martellus, so now it seem like we need some sort of confrontation between Gil and Agatha or Gil and Martellus, or heck, all three.
And then we can go to Paris... Maybe?
Please...?

But they will need at least four weeks for the awkward meeting during which Head!Klaus takes over, tries to kill Agatha and convinces her that Gil is far too dangerous to be around. Unless they go for a dramatic three-page fighting-from-the-inside-scene with clenched fists and teeth and Gil warning Agatha to get away from him.
In a distant future, the descendants of the Foglios will load the final page of Girl Genius into the intergalactic quantum-neuro-net, and your descendants will read it in their habitats in space, in their generation ships and on their extra-terrestrial colonies, laugh and think 'Our distant ancestors would have loved this ending.'

All I know is, my gut says maybe.I'm imagining Gil with red eyes and purple stripes like Inuyasha...
Don't follow that line of thought too long. It puts you in a weird place re: Klaus and spikes and fur.
eta: haha! Suddenly being an immortal head in a jar sounds kinda worth it...

Call me immature, but I'd prefer a succession of cute bodies for my mindstate. If possible without the 'reanimated abomination of science'-plaque.
All I know is, my gut says maybe.I'm imagining Gil and Martellus starting to go at it, the Corbettites retreating inside their fortress, and Agatha and Co. giving each other those sidelong looks and departing with bears and Chewie's brain during the dustup.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe Baron arrives at St Szpac Ten bucks says Klaus is in charge. Make that twenty. Do I have any takers?
Picture link for archive's sake.◊
I don't think Klaus would be getting ribbed for being unwilling to assume everything's Agatha's fault.
The funny thing is, he's right. It's all Magarella. Agatha's just doing damage control.
Edit: Wait, Klaus could have switched in during the time it took to land. That hands-behind-the-back pose in the bottom middle panel certainly gives me a Klaus vibe.

The hands-behind-back panel looks rather like Klaus, but I think the lack of personal space — getting right up in the Abbot's face — is actually more characteristic of Gil. I'm not sure Klaus would take over to talk to the Abbot, anyway. Time enough for that once they are sure Agatha's involved, if he thinks Gil's at risk of doing something foolish.
Fun thing is, the Abbot could answer Lady Margolotta happened, since she freed the Beast.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Got to love the monks. Everything going to blazes, and they're still like, nope, we got this, move along, nothing to see here.
Love the expression on Bang's face in the first panel. Her expression in the last panel gives me the heebie-jeebies. Bang being cutesy is never ever ever a good sign.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettYes, it's a valid point — this not only isn't Agatha's doing — even in response to people attacking her — we've been told it wasn't even done because of her this time! All she did was help! It's more like the crab clank than the hive engine.
So the abbot can reply 'she's dead' without violating any confidences—-and show the body. On the other hand, there's a Dreen there to snitch.
And there are the bears.
Well, there were the bears, anyway.
Edit: Actually — the Abbot previously mentioned having received messages about Agatha from both Gil and Martellus, even while discovering the original search of their trains had been for Lady Selnikov. I am not sure he's likely to try to pretend she wasn't there at all.

I'm still inclined to believe the Dreen was not there on Gil's orders; the most likely explanation is that it was a vault-escapee.
To be technical, we've seen (at most) two Dreen that served Klaus. We don't know how many of them there are, or if they all work for Wulfenbach.

http://www.mansionofe.comStill, the Dreen serve Wolfenbach.
Agatha is alive and still merits sanctuary. Margolleta is dead, and lost that right by being an aggressor
Say, what if some part of Chewie WAS The Key?

I don't envy him. Between an angry Gil and a too-innocent Bang is not a good place to be.
The Abbot's reaction is understandable, but even so, I'm disappointed that he isn't showing a little more spine.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Whomever said Bang has got the Moxana points but I guess that a teasing Bang is something that even joking I didn't expect on those levels.
Mmmm Angry Gil or Cute Bang... Gil can be reasoned with even if he is angry so I'd try that one.
Still back to the old debate: How many ways can Bang kill with cheese?
Well here goes nothingI didn't mean to suggest Agatha didn't still qualify for sanctuary. But I'm not sure it would be feasible to gloss over her ever having been there.
I definitely lost the Moxanas on that one.
Wow, Bang looks so dubious in the first panel
Yes it seems that we have two things here:
- REM monitor back on business
- Someone arriving, more likely Gil with some of the most trusted minions on tow and I am thinking that the most likely to Tch Gil is Seffie but Bang can do that just to joke on Gil (besides if Bang keeps an annoyed Gil around she can keep papa Klaus away for a bit).
Well here goes nothing
