Agatha missed two, maybe three birthdays... do you think Europa has a system for dealing with chronological vs physical age?

(Sigh... I'm looking at the calendar and thinking what the inhabitants of Mechanicsburg are probably going to be saying if they stay stuck in there until the timer on the black ball wears off: "I don't feel older than I did five years ago!")

Belated thought: So if it's a train which devours everything in its path... wouldn't that make it a chew-chew train instead?

@Candi: With the Ulysses engines and the other Sparks with minor Time Experiments they are more likely that have some way to deal with that issue.

So there's this children's short on the Disney Channel called "Choo Choo Soul" which features singing and dancing on an animated "Soul Train." I cant get this image out of my head of a Heterodynian "Chew Chew Soul" train. You know what that one eats...

"Here comes the Soul Train!"

[Sound f/x]: Chew chew chew.... chew chew chew...

I think that's, "Here comes the soul train . . . RUN!!!"

And, "Aaarrrrgh! It's gaining! Keep running!"

I'm thinking the guess that Saturnus was trying to help is probably right. But Heterodyne diplomacy probably consisted of building a bigger Death Ray until Bill and Barry.

To me, Agatha's diplomacy seems to be, "I want to be nice. But I built this death ray if you won't let me be so."

Maybe Saturnus was influenced by his as-yet-unnamed wife.

Maybe he was trying to do something helpful to please her, only he didn't quite grasp the essentials of the concept.

That sounds about right. He was so weak on subjects like that she poisoned him . . . possibly as an act of mercy.

I think Saturnus was also the one who set the town hall on fire in the year of three winters. So there is precedent for his attempts to be helpful not working out, even at home.

I do like that one of the opinions the Monks are taking into consideration is that of a witch protecting a stone circle. Makes me approve of them even more. Though I suppose it could be that it's Brother Ulm talking and we know he's a good guy.

Names seem to vary between the novels and the comic. Sturmvoraus/Sturmvarous is the one that bugs me most.
