Hey, Kat isn't the best at reading social situations. And the last guy who showed interest in Annie became a creep, unbecame a creep, developed a weird crush on someone else, kinda got over it, turned Annie down and now has a cool girlfriend.

I forget, did he become interested in Annie before or after he got all those spiders in his brain?

After, I think. I'm not sure, I gotta reread.

He /still/ likes zimmy, but has accepted that nothing will ever come of it. Brain Spiders man, not even once.

Well, they are still in high school... it's not like it's unusual for high school relationships to drift apart. Maybe Llanwellyn and Winsbury broke up.

Or maybe the headmaster did find out about the two and forced them to be apart.

Still, Winsbury has been pretty blatantly acting in a pro-Annie fashion for a while...

No more than "I agree with what she'd doing" at the moments we see him.

You're not supposed to. Presumably she gives the ball some rotation in such way that it first strikes her lane, then hops over the gutter and strikes the neighboring lane.

That would make too much sense. She just threw such a damned good ball that it hit a double-strike. There's a reason Tom didn't actually show it, because it's absurd. And I loved it a lot.

Hey, so it's been a while since I've read the earlier comics, so refresh my memory. But do any of the other students in Annie's year have special abilities à la Parley or Smitty?

Paz is in their year right? She has powers too. There's also Gamma and Zimmy.

@23417 What if she had special bowling boots made just for her, though? It's no more ridiculous of a prospect than a "double strike" (which I honestly took to mean that she just got a second strike in a row, though I guess "two strikes in one throw" would be a realistic enough occurrence In-Universe).

But usually you can't have two strikes in a row because a strike uses up two turns.

Sure, you can have two strikes in a row. You do them in consecutive frames and not the same frame (unless you're in the 10th frame, of course), but it's totally possible. Though if you want to split hairs, I can start being more precise with tenpin bowling terminology.
