I just love the way characters comically react in this.
Why would W Insbury think that Annie would respond positively? I predict disaster.
Trump delenda estWhy do you think Winsbury is going to do it at all?
He's sneakily dating Janet and Kat has misread his intentions with the class-signed card. She's just guessing that again.
Oh, I see. I was wondering when he had broken up with his girlfriend.
Time for sitcom shenanigans!

Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Hey, Kat isn't the best at reading social situations. And the last guy who showed interest in Annie became a creep, unbecame a creep, developed a weird crush on someone else, kinda got over it, turned Annie down and now has a cool girlfriend.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I forget, did he become interested in Annie before or after he got all those spiders in his brain?
After, I think. I'm not sure, I gotta reread.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Before. Afterwards he liked Zimmy
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youHe /still/ likes zimmy, but has accepted that nothing will ever come of it. Brain Spiders man, not even once.
"Coffee! Coffeecoffeecoffee! Coffee! Not as strong as Meth-amphetamine, but it lets you keep your teeth!"Well, they are still in high school... it's not like it's unusual for high school relationships to drift apart. Maybe Llanwellyn and Winsbury broke up.
Or maybe the headmaster did find out about the two and forced them to be apart.
Still, Winsbury has been pretty blatantly acting in a pro-Annie fashion for a while...
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. No more than "I agree with what she'd doing" at the moments we see him.
Edit: Rey turns up the heat.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe peanut gallery is all out of nuts, is but fully-stocked with glowers. ;P
This intolerable. Maddening. An Outrage!
Janet can't bowl in boots! She'll scuff the approach!
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Huh, so did they really break up?
EDIT: Also, I also did not know you could get two strikes.

Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️You're not supposed to. Presumably she gives the ball some rotation in such way that it first strikes her lane, then hops over the gutter and strikes the neighboring lane.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."That would make too much sense. She just threw such a damned good ball that it hit a double-strike. There's a reason Tom didn't actually show it, because it's absurd. And I loved it a lot.

Hey, so it's been a while since I've read the earlier comics, so refresh my memory. But do any of the other students in Annie's year have special abilities à la Parley or Smitty?
The question just popped into my head when I saw the "Double Strike"
Paz is in their year right? She has powers too. There's also Gamma and Zimmy.
@23417 What if she had special bowling boots made just for her, though? It's no more ridiculous of a prospect than a "double strike" (which I honestly took to mean that she just got a second strike in a row, though I guess "two strikes in one throw" would be a realistic enough occurrence In-Universe).
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. But usually you can't have two strikes in a row because a strike uses up two turns.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️Sure, you can have two strikes in a row. You do them in consecutive frames and not the same frame (unless you're in the 10th frame, of course), but it's totally possible. Though if you want to split hairs, I can start being more precise with tenpin bowling terminology.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.
Oh, boy. Rey has found his inner Maes Hughes.
