Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise. So what does this mean for Kat in the long run? While there are definitely discrepancies between the theology in Paul's epistles and the gospels (and also between the different gospels) the six things you mentioned are all found in both of them. It's also hard to definitively say that the Gospels represent a pre-Paulinian Christianity considering that Paul's epistles actually predate the gospels.
