All of Boruto is actually Sakura trapped in the Tsukuyomi.

The whole fake out Karin is Sarada's real moment was this brief shining moment of hope that this series would do something to make me happy. So of course it wasn't the case. As for why Sakura still has a torch for the sauce, who knows. She literally exists to be with him, it's not nearly as bad for Hinata because ummm I guess Hinata has other stuff to her character but yeahhhh romantic relationships in this series aren't great.

I think the sensei student relationships are for the most part really stand outs and diverse and compelling but the romantic stuff falls apart everytime.

It's a good example of They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot. Just imagine the fact that Sarada having to deal with the revelation that Sakura is not her biological mom, and her real mother is Karin. It would actually make sort of sense for all the secrecy. But the fact that Sakura is her mother, it makes everyone looks like idiots from trying to hide everything from her.

Huh Karin was her mother then Sarada becomes Bolt's cousin.

Cause they'd both be Uzumaki's.

Nobody really hid Sakura being her mom from her. Even Naruto had no idea her not being so was a possibility

They weren't hiding it per se but it's a very short and simple sentence to say "Sasuke and Sakura are your parents" and no one did. They were being 10 chapters of story to fill out obtuse about the situation.

Holy shit, Sasuke's fucking eyes.

EDIT: And I'm kind of glad that Sakura is Sarada's biological mother. At least she isn't such an utterly worthless doormat as to raise the child of her husband and another woman solely because the aforementioned husband told her to.

I would have rathered Sarada be Karin's child, which could be done without making Sakura a doormat.

Sasuke takes Sarada to the village because he doesn't want her anywhere near Orochimaru/his goons, Sakura takes her in out of altruism and not for Sasuke's sake (so she has to be written as less Sasuke-crazy for that to work).

At some point they get married due to spending some genuine time with each other and all that.

Sasuke would also need to be less of an abusive dick and actually show remorse for being a dick.

Well, I suppose Sakura could have been a crazy stalker who kidnapped Sarada as a baby. I mean, Sarada did ask if Sakura was really Sasuke's wife.

I swear everything that has been mentioned in this forum is objectively better & far more entertaining than what's in the actual product.

I feel like Kishimoto views Sakura and Sasuke's relationship very differently from how everyone else does.

I thought the spin off ended with Sarada thinking Karin was his mom (even though she wasn't) and accepting that it didn't really matter. Sakura was his mom because she raised her.

In Boruto:

Suigetsu:"Woah, Karin is your real mom. When did they...?"

-Sarada starts crying*

Suigetsu:"Err... c-ya"

-Naruto stops him*

Naruto:"That bastard... you knew?"

Suigetsu:"Of course not!!!"

"Well, later"

When Sasuke and Naruto meet:

Naruto:"We have to talk about something, you bastard!"

Nope. Sarada revealed she inherited Sakura's super strength, and realized Sakura is her bio mum.

Then we find out that Sakura gave Karin her umbilical cord.

Super strength is a technique involving chakra, not genetic. Sakura learned it from Tsunade.

Chakra enhanced super-strength is not something inherited but something taught though.

We can assume Sakura taught Sarada about enough chakra control to enhance her strength at some point before.

Indeed. Sharingan is what she inherited.

It doesn't matter that it's stupid and nonsensical. That's Naruto.

I'm not sure why you called it stupid or nonsensical. Its completely logical.

Both her parents have fine chakra control so it makes sense she'd have an easier time accessing the function at a younger age than her mother.

Parents naturally teach what they know to their kids so I'm assuming once Sarada showed that she had good chakra control Sakura then taught her how to focus it into her muscles.

Her being taught the technique is not what we were shown.

She saw it with her sharingan though right?

Oh please, the Sharingan can't copy techniques.

Really can't remember if she had Sharingan active when Sakura used the technique in front of her.

But that doesn't explain the reactiom she has when she accidentally uses it or the general framing of the scene as "she really is Sakura's daughter".

Sharingan can't copy Kekkai Genkais. It can copy techniques, but only if the user is able to use it in a practical manner. It's why one of Orochimaru's goal was to copy every Jutsu in the world.

Because the Sharingan stopped being used that way veeeery early in the series

'accidentally uses a super high level, specialised, move' Even Bort had to be taught how the rasengan works.

And then he accidentally created a completely unique variation of it.

Hell, it had two special properties, the second hadn't been seen in any technique before.
