Imagine what people's reactions be if they found out the reason for all the war & suffering in the world since the dawn of civilization is due to a shadow creature who wants his mommy back,
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
They would wonder if they were in a bad shonen series.
"Shadow Alien, people! From another dimension! He's controlling our lives, writing on rocks to make Uchiha kill each other, don't you see?!"
That would mean one trip to the loony bin.
Then the Yamanaka read your mind and see that you're absolutely not BS'ing any of this. Then the ball starts rolling.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!And then Danzo kidnaps you.
Danzo didn't exist in part one, so I'd be fine. All I'd have to do is hang around the noodle shop until Naruto shows up and ingratiate myself by telling him how to not be shit; then if i get kidnapped narrative causality demands he come rescue me. Or I die. One of those.
Holy shit yes. That is genius.
Integrate yourself into Naruto's life & influence him. He is very impressionable, especially in part 1 & if you tell him to do something he will do it against all logic.
His promise to Sakura was one major reason why he went after Sasuke.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Naruto had really taken a level in weirdness didn't it?
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."
And it's not the fun type of weirdness that you see in One Piece, but the jarring type that doesn't make sense for what has been established so far.
Naruto is very much a childish series but I think it's competent. Not good but decent for a shonen. (Damned by Faint Praise, there.)
If you want to see something horrendous even by shonen standards, I'd point you to Fairy Tail.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."Fairy Tail has two big saving graces though in the PLOT and BACKSTORY.
Which are?
Or are you making a joke where Fairy Tail has nothing but T & A? Cause if so I can get behind that, heheh.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That turn of discussion again eh.
Secret Signature-nod-
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It's pretty much the only thing I remember about FT, so it's all I have to contribute whenever it's brought up.
"Also, the moon wasn't there a couple hundred years ago! Seriously, how did everyone forgot about that?!"
That's not all here is to FT. There's also power ups that make no sense and villains that never live up to their hype.
I still don't understand how Fairy Tail is apparently garbage when Rave Master was amazing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Because Hiro Mashima became afraid of killing off his characters after killing off Siegfried in Rave Master.

Watch SymphogearMashima either degraded immensly as a writor or he no longer gives a flying rat-ass fuck.
He really wants to keep things happy.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Yeah, make things too happy for people and people won't care what happens, because the heroes always come in on top.
I believe the Fairy Tail thread is this way? Just to make sure things don't get too off-topic.
I don't know if Rave Master was amazing, but mos people seem to think that Fairy Tail is a huge step down from it. But considering the average opinion of Fairy Tail now, that could just mean it wasn't horrible when it ended.
But back to Naruto, what's happening with Boruto? It opened up with Naruto being dead or something right?
Are you asking about the anime or manga?
In the manga: Boruto has to rescue the son of a daimyo from a ninja that can take on the appearance and memories of others by eating their brains while they're alive.
In the anime: I haven't seen the latest episode, but Boruto gets a visit from Toneri (antagonist of one of the movies) in his dreams, and one of his eyes takes on the same color as the Tenseigan. Naruto takes him to see Hiashi Hyuuga to see if he's really awakened the Byakugan, though it seems like he hasn't.
The history of the Naruto world is actually more nonsensical than the one hinted at in One Piece, even though it's supposed to be the more surreal series.
