So?
You're aware that this is a manga right?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariYes, and Danzo was also suppose to be weaker than Hiruzen, whose best showing came during a time in the series where stuff like Susanoo didn't exist.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!So?
It's not like he needs to be a top tier fighter to be a legitimate threat to Sasuke at that point.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariHe kind of does though, otherwise he's not getting past the Mangekyou Sharingan, Amaterasu, or Susanoo.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Well, the manga wouldn't be very fun if it was just "young man beat up an handicapped old dude on a bridge" :p
Fallout 2? More like Fallout 2 bad.Eh Sasuke was kind of incompetent during that arc. He just kept getting his ass kicked over & over again. Danzo doesn't need to be that strong.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The anime made it a better match. Danzo is my fav wind user in the series. (I know, small pool, but I like his wind shurikens and wind kunai)
(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)Um..he kind of does. Sasuke was beaten by Bee before he got the hang of his powers. In addition to that, he proceeded to have an impressive showing against multiple Kage level opponents. He essentially fought a gauntlet of these opponents without much rest too.
And besides, Danzo is no Bee. And Sasuke killed him multiple times in that fight. So he kind of needed Izanagi.
You can say "well he wasn't that strong" all you want, but what I'm saying is that he should have been that strong without the Sharingarm.
He should have been able to give Sasuke an actual challenge without needing for yet another asspull superbroken technique from the Magic Eye of Plot Convenience to come out.
But then again, at that point, the manga was the Uchiha Show. You were no longer allowed to be even slightly relevant in a fight unless you were using Sharingan abilities.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariExcept how the Kage effortlessly kicked Sasuke around, and how he would have gotten his shit pushed in by A if Gaara hadn't saved him.
That one would have been a mutual kill.
He only saved himself by surprising his opponents then quickly causing a cave in & running away. He simply took advantage of his opponents small moment of confusion which created a miniscule opening at escape.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I kinda agree with Iance but there are plenty of good non-Uchiha/Senju descendants that are good fighters but the story does push them to the side in favor of the fated family.
And A would have lost his leg but he wasn't in danger from dying from what we saw/heard in mental thoughts.
(•_•)⌐■-■ ( ಠ_ಠ)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)It's not like Gaara, Temari, Darui, or Kankuro were ever a threat to him. He was tanking their attacks in Susanoo. He got away because his primary mission was Danzo, and collapsing the room was the perfect opportunity. No need to waste more chakra.
Not to downplay the Kages of course. Gaara probably saved his life, as did Zetsu, and Obito, but they weren't "pushing him around." It was pretty much him, versus all of them with little support. And they were actively trying to kill him. The Raikage essentially one-shotted Jugo, but had much more trouble with Sasuke. Who, btw, was not even using his full body Susanoo. So he wasn't even fighting at his full potential yet.

@Ironypus
The point is that they didn't.
And they never could have. Even if they were all a million times stronger than him and had him trapped in the room with no way out, the plot would bullshit out an escape for him.
We know this would happen. Remember the Great Snake Escape?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI've actually seen a lot of stuff that would imply that that wasn't actually as bullshit as people thought, none the which being Deidara is the only one who says that Sasuke was running out of chakra in the end, with Sasuke never confirming or denying that, all because Sasuke turned his Sharingan off.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Yeah, that was bullshit.
Funny thing is, that bullshit stemmed from other bullshit. Sasuke should've been disintegrated by Deidara's C4 technique, but only escaped because the Sharingan could now, all of a sudden, see chakra Byakugan style.

The Sharingan could always see chakra, it just couldn't see chakra points like the Byakugan could, so something like the Gentle Fist would be completely useless to them.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!When was the Sharigan ever referenced to always be able to see chakra? Genjutsu and precognition were shown to be it's primary uses, along with heightened senses.
How many times did Sasuke use the "chakra-seeing" aspect of the Sharigan in part one? Or Kakashi for that matter. Pretty sure Deidara was the first instance of this.
Sasuke also didn't get a full three-tomoe Sharingan in both eyes until the very end of Part 1 against Naruto; there's probably more abilities gained the "higher leveled" it gets.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!All Kishimoto had to do was leave the cliffhanger with Sasuke going "OH SHIT" like German Cell and then reveal that Obito rescued him.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariAnd that's fine, and true, but all I'm saying is that Deidara was the first instance of this being mentioned. An earlier reference wouldn't have been as egregious.
Because otherwise it's Sasuke fighting an old man in his 70s with only one arm.
