I only knew of Linkin Park from Naruto AM Vs. Gah, that is such a good bookend to my Naruto watching experience haha.

I learned of Linkin Park from a Naruto AMV. I actually like them, btw.

I learned of Linkin Park, Three Days Grace and Three Doors Down through Dragon Ball AMVs, myself.

Also, the best Naruto AMV I've ever seen was Lee... set to Tenacious D's Lee.

Feeling nostalgic lately?

The episode was good but it needed less Sakura and Kakashi showing up to say things.

There were some great added moments and I liked that there were less Chidori and Rasengan clashes. It was just one at the end.

Taijutsu was great. Loved Uzumaki Barrage making a comeback and that Naruto finally used it against Sasuke. (I wonder if Sasuke realized he was aping his move).

Favorite part was Naruto blocking Amaterasu with the Nine Tails Cloak. Never thought it could be used that way. Pretty smart.

Also loved that this song made a comeback in the last fight:

... You said you wanted Heavy Violence to return. As in, heavy violence. As in, the anime being more violent. That's the joke.

To be honest the final fight was a bit too violent LOL! There was even a TOOTH with blood spewing out. I cant believe Disney XD even tried to work with Naruto Shippuden.

I might actually have to watch this now. That slow zoom-in of Naruto and Sasuke fighting looks interesting. They really did pull out all the stops this time around.

Watching:

• It's been so long since I watched an episode the flashbacks of Naruto and Sasuke being replayed/re-animated for the 50th time are actually having an effect on me.
• Sasuke just kicked Naruto in the face with enough force to flip Naruto off the ground and onto his back. What a dick. That must be revenge for Naruto punching him across the lake all those years ago.
• Ugh. I used to like these "equillibrium" fights, but I really dislike how they insert flashbacks in-between the action, and how Naruto and Sasuke always match each other blow for blow.
• That transition between different versions of Naruto and Sasuke at the end was cool.
• I really want to see Sasuke fight that grenade-fist guy from My Hero Academia now.

No, this is not the end. This is just the end of the War Arc. Next comes the Aftermath, followed by the novel arcs.

I think tomorrow we're getting some esoteric pseudo-purgatory filler though.

Like I said, aftermath. Obviously, we'll get more than just one shot of them mourning the fallen. Reading 699, I thought Naruto and Hinata were already a couple, given how he's standing right next to her at Neji's funeral. That it took two years for them to get together was a bit awkward.

That it took the moronic Shoujo plot of The Last is baffling. Seriously, why did they think The Last needed to be a Love Story?

"Oh, yeah, this is The Last story, the crowning of the Franchise and the characters' swansong! So let's spend it on an insipid love plot, throw in a couple of retcons for good measure and oh, yeah, that deuteragonist whose family took over the manga? Let's have him in like five seconds of screentime and do basically nothing but show up to get the fanboys and fangirls to squee! It's gonna be great!"

@wanderlust Only the Sasuke v Naruto fight episodes have aired. They're 2 episodes long but the first one you can skip to the 9 minute mark. Good action.

Because as someone said before, Hinata's love confession was Lost in Translation for us; the original Japanese wording can be ambiguous on whether romantic or platonic love is meant, but because most other countries don't have different ways to express different versions of love in their languages, it's just "I love you", and it comes off as a romantic confession. Naruto just assumed that she meant she loved him platonically because of that.

So?

Even if it wasn't completely absolutely and explicitly clear, that still doesn't justify the incredibly moronic shoujo plot they invented.

Because this should've been a simple conversation. "Hey, Naruto, remember when I said I loved you? Yeah, I meant that. Romantically. As in I want to have your babies. Two of them."

Hinata has never been that bold though, so that'd be OOC for her.
