No, you're deriving the wrong conclusion. All of two people knew a bit of tentacle would be enough and one of them was dead at the time. This was information he could not have known, that nobody but an insane idiot and a dead man could have known because B does not have a Rinnegan or access to the Slab. You don't have to be an idiot to advance the plot via ignorance.

Ignoring the ten tails, he's still an idiot to put a holiday ahead of everything else. That is the entire point of B.

He's not some random joe, after all. He's a jinchuuriki. Whether he likes it or not, he is an important figure at a strategic and tactical level.

By the by, I've said this several times, and it still hasn't sunk in, so allow me to put it in all caps and bolded so that it finally becomes clear enough:

I AM NOT CALLING HIM AN IDIOT FOR NOT KNOWING THAT HIS ACTIONS WOULD ADVANCE THE PLOT. I repeat that. I am not calling him an idiot because he didn't know things he could not possibly know. The kind of idiot that helps along an Idiot Plot does not know that his actions will advance the plot. If they did, they wouldn't be an idiot doing idiot things, they would be helping the antagonists deliberately. While that can be out of idiocy, it rarely is.

The reason I'm calling B an idiot is, because much like Saiga said, he prioritized his holiday and totally ignored everything else.

He is either an idiot, or an incredibly selfish dick. And given that he is supposed to be one of the good guys, I am going to assume he was not intentionally being a selfish dick.

He probably just doesn't care much about that at this point, having his whole life restricted from about age eight may have left him feeling a bit chafed and deserving of a long overdue holiday. He wasn't being malicious, he was just fed up and knew he could get away with it.

If you're going to scream that then I fail to see why you attribute this instance as contributing to the idiot plot.

Either he doesn't consider the consequences, or he doesn't care. It's one way or the other.

That's a false dilemma, he could just as easily feel that after thirty or more years of work he's owed a holiday and that people shitting themselves over his disappearance is just an unfortunate price they have to pay.

From what little I seen of the filler. I think Fu is supposed to be like a female Naruto(yes another Naruto parallel it's not like we have enough of them). The reasons she died is 1.she's a female in the Naruto verse and 2.not a direct descendent of the sage.

About Fuu, I will just not take this filler as canon. It was a horrible filler arc with an anticlimatic ending.

Even Utakata got a bit of a fight scene against Pain, and about ten times more screentime.

my local theaters are showing The Last and I saw it yesterday.Man,I liked it,but I imagine how overjoyed the Naru Hina shippers must have gotten with that movie,huh?Then again,I have been always fond of Hinata,so seeing THAT at the end after 15 years of stories sure was nice

The biggest issue with Filler is when they get a blank check to go nuts... They always seem to low ball it.
