* HilariousInHindsight: Cisco giving a TakeThat towards the ''Film/TransformersFilmSeries'' for two reasons. First because Creator/TonyTodd, who voices Zoom, also voices [[Film/TransformersRevengeOfTheFallen its second installment's]] BigBad. Second, because ''Series/{{Arrow}}'' lead star Creator/StephenAmell works with the same ProductionPosse in ''Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesOutOfTheShadows'' that will air a few weeks after this episode.

* IKnewIt: Many people had correctly guessed that the Man in the Iron Mask would be the real Jay Garrick and played by Creator/JohnWesleyShipp, since Barry's maternal grandmother's maiden name was Garrick.

** After spending a season as a borderline BoringInvincibleVillain who's succeeded through nothing but AssPull developments and heroes grabbing the IdiotBall, seeing Barry utterly ''beat'' Zoom to a pulp was pretty satisfying. Seeing the Time Wraiths then dragging him away just added to it.

Not only does it tick off those ''Arrow'' fans who wish a similar situation would happen to Laurel, but it's dragging out an old plot point from Season One that seemed to have been laid to rest, and it runs the risk of making Barry very unsympathetic by having him forget the whole point of the Flash -- you can't keep looking back, you have to move forward, especially since there was an entire episode dedicated to him coming to accept Nora's death and that he isn't immune from tragedy simply because he's a hero. In fairness, he ''was'' in a horrible state after Zoom killing Henry, and seeing that Jay Garrick was Henry's doppelgänger just made it even worse.

That's not a trope. List a trope or don't list the entry.

* Since Jay Garrick comes from Earth-3, and there is no mention of him on Kara's Earth, that makes Supergirl's Earth (K-Earth?) At least "Earth-4."

* InternetBackdraft: Barry saving Nora. * SpoilerOpening: Rather neatly averted, as John Wesley Shipp's appearance as Henry's corpse in the opening scene allows him to be put in the guest credits without giving away that he's also under the mask.

* AssPull: While it is still awesome to see Zoom finally get his comeuppance after a season of constantly one upping the heroes, that doesn't excuse the fact that the Zoom/Time Wrath confrontation came out of nowhere. It's not until this episode that the idea of Zoom being hunted by the Time Wraiths was established.
** Similarly, Zoom's plan to destroy the entire multiverse comes almost without any foreshadowing, especially since it was never established that Zoom is the sort of genius-level physicist who could pull off something like this.

* FridgeBrilliance: Barry's plan to lure out [[ClockRoaches the Time Wraiths]] to finish Zoom off despite only Joe knowing that they were after Zoom makes a lot more sense when one remembers one thing: Barry used the time remnant trick ONCE and the remnant died in a HeroicSacrifice. Zoom's done it ''twice'' (that we and Barry know of) and killed ''both'' of them personally. If Barry creating one and it dying of events independent of Barry's actions was enough to anger them, then Zoom doing it twice and killing both of them himself would definitely hit their BerserkButton a bit harder.

That last part was explained: Barry drew them there by going back in time, and was just lucky that they grabbed the bigger time criminal.
