* AcceptableTargets: If you're a restaurant with the name "Kirby" in it and have a Facebook page, prepare to get raided by a horde of angry Facebook accounts.

** The comic first started as a bunch of Facebook accounts in 2014, the same year that ''Film/{{Interstellar}}'' came out. Interstellar just so happens to have a character named "TARS," [[NamesTheSame the same name as the acronym used for this comic]].

*** However, this could also be interpreted as a CriticalResearchFailure on Poyo's part. (See below).

* AuthorsSavingThrow: Comic 143 was borderline unreadable due to the dense fog, so Poyo Ride copied the comic before he added the fog in, and uploaded a version without the fog.

* CriticalResearchFailure:
** Translucent Kirby is not translucent, he just inherits Meta Knight's color scheme, complete with yellow eyes.
*** This was done because of confusion that the series creator had, as he didn't know what translucent meant, and a boss in ''VideoGame/NintendoLand'', known as the Translucent Wollywog, had colors that looked somewhat similar to Meta Knight's colors, complete with the yellow eyes, so Poyo Ride rolled with it for Translucent Kirby.
** The bee is confirmed to be a male. Only female bees visit flowers.
** In Comic 5, Metal Man says that instead of the Metal Blade, he's weak to the Quick Boomerang. Since this is Metal Man, he shouldn't be saying the other weapon he's actually weak to, as whenever he says what he's actually weak to, said weapon doesn't work well on him. Poyo Ride said he forgot Metal Man was actually weak to that.
*** However, this ends up becoming subverted when Poyo Ride revealed it was on purpose to make the comic more interesting.
** In Comic 16, Dyna Blade says Brown Kirby eats her penis for breakfast. Dyna Blade is a woman, and shouldn't have a penis.
** In Comic 40, the Shadow Star sinks the mayflower... by sticking his Iphone into the engine. The mayflower was built in the 1600s, and back then, engines didn't exist.
** In Comic 44, Keldeo says he is more durable than Rayquaza and Kyogre combined. Combining Rayquaza & Kyogre's HP in VideoGame/PokemonShuffle equals to 21061 HP. Keldeo only has 13051 HP.
** In Comic 48, Blue the Dog claims dogs are safe from Ebola. [[https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/10/15/ask-well-can-pets-get-ebola/https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/10/15/ask-well-can-pets-get-ebola/ This is false.]]
** Satoru Iwata was born in 1959, though Comic EX 2 says he was born in 1956.
** Comic 122 implies UsefulNotes/PlayStation did not exist when ''VideoGame/MarioParty'' and ''VideoGame/DonkeyKongCountry3DixieKongsDoubleTrouble'' came out, which is false.
** In Comic 123, Kirby puts out the sun with water in Comic 123. In real life, this would end with the water evaporating.
** In Comic 160, one of the flying assbots shoots down an energy tank. The comic takes place in Ice Man's stage, which doesn't have energy tanks.
** Comic 185, which shows if there was a fourth presidential debate in the TARS world, takes place in a debate hall. The three presidential debates in the real world all took place in universities.

** Comic 108, which is about the Paris Attacks of 2015. Who's getting shot? Blue Kirby and a quote bubble. [[BreakingTheFourthWall The quote bubble even has it's own dialogue.]] King K. Rool is also [[WereStillRelevantDammit wearing MLG sunglasses.]] A 9-11 joke also managed to slip in. [[labelnote:explanation]] [[BlackComedy A plane is about to hit the Eiffel Tower.]]

* HarsherInHindsight: Ridley's reply to one of the Dyna Blade challenges. This challenge featured Dyna Blade asking for the name of everyone's teacher so she could trample them. Ridley replied with Mrs. Iwata. [[note]] Later edited to Mr. Iwata [[/note]] Less than a month later, Iwata died.
* HilariousInHindsight: The comic first started as a bunch of Facebook accounts in 2014, the same year that {{Film/Interstellar}} came out. Interstellar just so happens to have a character named "TARS," [[NamesTheSame the same name as the acronym used for this comic]].
** The {{VideoGame/Pokemon}} Ho-oh was a minor character who appeared in some comics complaining about how there isn't a movie featuring him. Post-series, Anime/PokemonIChooseYou happened.

* OlderThanYouThink: ''Webcomic/GreenKirbyAirRide'' used the comic formula before ''TARS'' did.

** The series was also panned for its dirty humor.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: What? You think Poyo Ride knew how to draw?

* TheScrappy: Despite the series not having a large fandom, Dyna Blade is the most hated character in the series. One of TARS's only fans confirmed that he didn't like her, Fantendo didn't approve of the character, though not to the same degree as White Kirby, and someone on the Joke Battles Wiki who has never heard of TARS before finding her page claimed this character was an insult to Dyna Blade's appearance in the actual kirby games.

* WereStillRelevantDammit: Several VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys and Undertale characters appear in the series, with Freddy Fazbear and Mettaton being part of the main cast.
** Minecraft was also present in the series. However, it was not near the level of Fnaf and Undertale. The series only had one character, ever. Not even some throwaway characters. There was a comic based around it, Comic 136. Comic 140 and 150 use lava textures from the game, and Comic 150 was apparently inspired by a time when Poyo Ride played Minecraft, [[spoiler: pouring lava all over a [[SuckySchool Ride School]]]] world he built.

** An InUniverse example, Miss Robot, a robot built by Ride School, ran by a pretty average principal, that was made to educate kids. The cover for Miss Robot's book, "Pictures of Miss Robot", has her exposing her private parts. Why does a robot for kids have genitals?
* WhatAnIdiot: The people at Ride School decided it would be a good idea to build their school [[spoiler: [[ChekhovsVolcano above a volcano]].]] Guess what Miss Robot did when she found out about this.

** Brown Kirby's feet are the same color as his body, which is not the case in Kirby Air Ride.
** Any time Kirbies [[FlippingTheBird use the middle finger.]] The kirbies don't have fingers, and therefore can't stick up the middle finger.

** The official artwork for "Pictures of Miss Robot." It has Miss Robot running around with her private part exposed. WordOfGod says the "CENSORED" bar was covering up her penis at the time the image was made. Miss Robot is a female, and only males have penises.
** One of the UFO's most notable traits in TARS is the hump in the middle... which it does not have in Kirby Air Ride.
** The Antasma "Trilogy" was planned to be more than three comics.
*** However, it only got to two comics before getting axed, and Comic 6 was later considered canon to the "Trilogy", actually making it a trilogy.

** Antasma says "irony" in response to White Kirby destroying the lighthouse. That's not irony.

** In Comic 166, Poyo Ride seems to have caught a member of the Abra family in Pokemon GO. Later in the year, Abra became his discord mascot, and one of his avatars in WebOriginal/AirRideAdventures.

* OlderThanYouThink: WebOriginal/GreenKirbyAirRide used the comic formula before TARS did.

** Dyna Blade's Mom's hair. Dyna Blade has a Mohawk styled hairdo. Dyna Blade's Mom was instead going to have curly grey hair. and was also an edit of Dyna Blade's ''VideoGame/KirbyAirRide'' artwork. The Mohawk was still visible over her grey hair, effectively giving her two sets of hair. WebComic/DynaBladesMisadventures fixes this by doing away with the curly grey hair, and instead opting to color DBM's mohawk grey.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: In October 2015, Poyo Ride got a notebook full of [[MissingEpisode TARS comics]] confiscated. A month later, he remade one of the comics that was in the spiral, and claims it's a 100% accurate remake. A year later, he finished the comic that he was working on when he was caught, and it even has Mrs. AMP being portrayed very similarly to how she was during the time that notebook was being worked on. Two years later, he made another TARS comic after almost a full year since the last one, once again being one of the comics in the notebook. This one isn't 100% accurate to the notebook one, but it's still awesome to see Poyo Ride trying to bring back the missing comics and even just making another TARS comic.

** Comic 122 implies UsefulNotes/PlayStation did not exist when VideoGame/MarioParty and VideoGame/DonkeyKongCountry3 came out, which is false.

* VanillaProtagonist: White Kirby. White Kirby has little to no personality other than getting angry when Blue Kirby takes his pieces.

** Thanks to the newest Smash Bros. game, seeing [[spoiler: Ridley]] in any comic now counts as this.

** Minecraft was also present in the series. However, it was nowhere near the level of Fnaf and Undertale. The series only had one character, ever. Not even some throwaway characters. There was a comic based around it, Comic 136, Comic 140 and 150 use lava textures from the game, and Comic 150 was apparently inspired by a time when Poyo Ride played Minecraft, [[spoiler: pouring lava all over a [[SuckySchool Ride School]]]] world he built.

* SpecialEffectsFailure:

** There was also a bit of Minecraft present in the series, although not as much as Fnaf and Undertale. Comic 136 was based off of it, the Creeper was a minor character, and the lava textures from Comic 140 and 150 are from Minecraft.

* {{Irony}}:
** White Kirby's obsession with the legendary pieces, since in VideoGame/KirbyAirRide, in order to unlock him, you need to collect all six pieces in one match.
** Whenever Poyo Ride wanted to edit the page for the first comic, it always happened to be on the eighth. He noticed this, though later broke his streak of three edits in a row. [[note]] The third edit on the the 8th says "August 7th", due to Wikia's timezone being different from Poyo's. [[/note]] When Poyo Ride was making the page for Comic 1 on the new TARS wiki, he made it on May 8th.

* SpecialEffectsFailure: In Comic 173, one small bit of fire that engulfs the goggles got into Miss Robot's quote bubble.

* WhatAnIdiot: The people at Ride School decided it would be a good idea to build their school [[spoiler: above a volcano.]] Guess what Miss Robot did when she found out about this.

** One of the old wiki edits for White Kirby's page claimed White Kirby tried to RAPE Blue Kirby after the latter took the former's piece. However, Poyo Ride didn't know what the word meant at the time, and both are males. Don't ask how kirbies have gay sex.

* BaseBreakingCharacter: White Kirby & Terra in the Fantendo community. These two got accused of being ripoffs, the former being accused of ripping off because White Kirby and White were both White Kirbies, while Terra was claimed to be a ripoff of another Terra because both characters shared the same name. However, some people claimed these ripoff allegations were ridiculous, and defended both characters.

** Several things are wrong with the official artwork for "Pictures of Miss Robot."
*** Firstly, the image to the left, where all the problems lie, has Miss Robot running around with her private part exposed. WordOfGod says the "CENSORED" bar was covering up her penis at the time the image was made. Miss Robot is a female, and only males have penises.
*** Secondly, why is Mrs. AMP getting mad at Miss Robot? Miss Robot exposing her private part shouldn't be that out of the ordinary... BECAUSE MISS ROBOT DOESN'T WEAR CLOTHES!
*** Finally, we have the fact Miss Robot was built as an educational robot. The Ride School principal doesn't seem to be insane, so she should be a normal robot. What kind of educational robot has private parts?

** Speaking of the UFO, it's very common for it to be incorrectly sized, sometimes as small as the Shadow Star.

*** However, this ends up becoming averted when Poyo Ride revealed it was on purpose to make the comic more interesting.

** Comic 123 has quite a few.
*** Kirby brings the sun to Mrs. AMP's classroom, and yet neither of them die.
*** However, since the comic name is "10 ways Kirby will end the world", it's likely this ended the world due to this, though Kirby should have died as soon as he got too close to the sun.
*** This happens again in Comic 172.
*** You can't turn off the magnetic field, though then again, it is a different planet.
*** Once again, Poyo Ride forgot that you die when you get too close to the sun, and Kirby goes right next to the sun and puts it out with water.
** In Comic 136, the Creeper's explosion is about 100 times bigger than it is in Minecraft.
