But seriously, the idea that Rick's father cares so much that he'd rather let give up his freedom for his son before Kara gives him up for Alex? He should realize that if she does what his son wants, then Rick won't have to live with guilt anyway AND they will both be free. And that's not even factoring the fact that he somehow conveniently knows where Alex might be.
