* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: It's generally considered to be a great (if [[ItsShortSoItSucks short]]) first-person shooter due to its difficulty and non-frustrating AI. Many consider it to be one of the best ''Star Wars'' games, and taking one short look at the reviews on UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} shows that there's no shortage of fans who still want a sequel.

* FridgeBrilliance: It would seem odd for the magazines of the clone's DC-17m weapon system to be side-mounted, given that a bottom mount is usually superior as seen in modern weaponry. However, it makes perfect sense for multiple reasons.
** A side mount is notable for being extremely good for soldiers firing from prone positions, which while not shown in the game is something you would expect commando units to have to do a lot.
** The three biggest issues with side-mounted magazines (larger width of the weapon which can make it a hassle in urban and thick environments, the weight of the magazine unbalancing the weapon, and the guns being unable to be used ambidextrously) are not an issue in these circumstances. The magazine is small, so the width of the magazine is not an issue, the magazine carrying no actual bullets should not unbalance the weapon, and the entire clone army is ambidextrous, so the issue of being harder for those of a specific dominant hand is not an issue.

* ItsShortSoItSucks: ''Republic Commando'''s short single-player campaign ranging from four to six hours was a common target for criticism. Notably, when UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch Online let subscribers play a demo of the game for a week, many players reported just finishing the game outright during that period rather than buying it afterward.

ATT. Being otherwise functional and fully playable means not a Disaster.

* ThatOneLevel: The last segment of the Core Ship Infiltration (and the last segment of Geonosis) gives you [[TimedMission five minutes]] to both steal the launch codes and escape from the ship. The problem? Retrieving the codes from the bridge's terminal takes barely over one minute, and you and your squad will be swarmed with droids coming from two different entry points while slicing into it, including Super Battle Droids and Droidekas, and it's very difficult to find cover without falling into the bridge's pits (which are awkward to get out of due to them only having one ramp each). Even getting to the bridge can take about two minutes due to encounters with the aforementioned droid types, and the lack of bacta stations packed close together can make healing incredibly time-consuming.
