* StrawmanHasAPoint: Squidward wasn't much better than Tom during the delivery, but he was right that finding civilization took higher priority than delivering the pizza and that even at the customer's inconvenience, it would be foolish to not eat the pizza when they have means of sustenance literally at their fingertips.

* CatharsisFactor: It's hard not to cheer on Squidward when he throws the pizza in the [[UnsatisfiableCustomer customer's]] face. Especially after he [[UngratefulBastard cruelly]] [[{{Jerkass}} reprimanded]] Spongebob, over a drink he ''didn't even order''.

* LoveToHate: The UnsatisfiableCustomer from the episode's climax. Despite [[OneSceneWonder only having a few minutes of screen time]], he makes for one of the most memorable parts of an already memorable episode partly due to to [[Creator/MrLawrence Doug Lawrence's]] phenomenal performance. His {{Jerkass}} behavior is enough to [[BreakTheCutie make SpongeBob cry]], making it all the more satisfying when [[LaserGuidedKarma Squidward finally puts the man in his place]].

* {{Fanon}}: There's popular fan theory that the rude customer is actually Plankton in disguise, given that they both share a voice actor, and his house turns out to be right across the street from the Krusty Krab. Not to mention, both are huge {{Jerkass}}es and have a nasty temper.
