While both are InherentlyFunnyWords, they ''are'' actual people in ''Literature/TheBible''.[[note]]"Nimrod" was a great hunter in the Old Testament -- it's thought that the use of the name as an insult stems from a WesternAnimation/BugsBunny cartoon where he ironically attaches the name to Elmer Fudd. The reference went over people's heads, who thought it was just an insult. And incidentally, Nimrod actually ''does'' appear in the advertised film, where he's played by Creator/StephenBoyd. "Dorcas", according to tradition, was the alternate name for "Tabitha", the 12-year-old girl Jesus raised from the dead in Mark 5:41. She's not in the film, as it only adapts material from the Literature/BookOfGenesis. It was actually supposed to be the start of a series, but it flopped so badly that it killed off the entire Biblical Epic genre for decades. And now you know.[[/note]]
