Much like PSMD, I don't think the scene itself is considered to be particularly "narmy" by most of the fanbase.

Forgot to add spoiler to something at the end of my added detail that contains the Dunsparce and Virizion couple.

** Dunsparce and Virizion are still shipped despite the Official Couple [[Emolga and Virizion]] coming true since Dunsparce and Virizion had a lot of ShipTease moments that many fans were disappointed/angry that it didn’t came true.

Another couple that is forgotten and actually has evidence on Deviant Art, Reddit, and Relationship Wiki since there is a ship name for it.

* ContestedSequel: While some changes made to the gameplay were well received like the removal of the hunger mechanic and infinite-use [=TMs=], others like the the removal of the PlayerPersonalityQuiz and the inability to complete multiple jobs in one dungeon weren't. The ''huge'' number of Pokémon missing (only 144 Pokémon are available to recruit[[note]]For comparison, even [[VideoGame/PokemonRedAndBlue the first game in the main series]] has more playable Pokémon (151) than Gates.[[/note]], most of which are from ''VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite'') is also a seen as a huge step down from the previous games, which had almost every Pokémon available.

* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: Gates to Infinity is often lambasted for TheyChangedItNowItSucks in several aspects of the gameplay, yet the story is widely seen as on par with the other Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles, with some even considering it one of, if not, the best story in the franchise.

Just a character analysis with no mention of what the fanbase thinks

* DiagnosedByTheAudience: Keldeo is extremely capable in very specific fields of interest/skill, and seems to lack understanding of various social cues, such as not realizing the effects of [[spoiler: telling [[BestFriend Virizion]] that he was [[BreakHerHeartToSaveHer just looking for an excuse to get away from her]]]], and at one point tells the player that he sometimes can't tell whether Espeon is being serious or joking with him - characteristics not uncommon for someone with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

** And, as per-usual, multi-hit moves. [[UpToEleven Possibly even more so in this game]] since you can increase the power and accuracy of the moves to where, at the very least, it'll always do two to three hits for around 20-40 damage each even in the early levels. Rollout is a big offender, considering Tepig learns it pretty early [[spoiler:and the penultimate final boss is weak to it.]]

Kyurem is considered redeemed, so okay.

* MoralEventHorizon: [[spoiler:Kyurem's ambush on the main party was bad enough, but destroying Hydreigon and brutally assaulting the hero in front of their partners eyes completely crossed into this territory.]]

Spoiler text

* EndingFatigue: The battle against the final boss, the Bittercold. First, there's a four minute cutscene after leaving Kyurem behind and reaching the Winds of Despair before you fight the first stage of it. Then, after the first stage, another five minutes of cutscene before the second stage. Then after beating the Bittercold's second stage, the final cutscenes along with the credits before returning to the main menu are around ''36 minutes long''. So that's around 45 minutes of cutscene after beating Kyurem, and that's not counting the two parts of the Bittercold.
