* CommonKnowledge: A lot of people mistakenly believe that Eggsy is some sort of coming-of-age kid in this film. He's undoubtedly very young, but also clearly an adult. The fact that he lives with his mum (which wasn't the most common thing for adults in the West pre-pandemic) and he's surrounded by ''muuuch'' older men all throughout didn't help. A FreezeFrameBonus from this film states that Eggsy is 22, though according to another one from ''Film/KingsmanTheGoldenCircle'', he was 26. (This may be a {{Retcon}}.)

Then Eggsy effortlessly defeats him at Valentine's base and embarrasses him even further by inadvertently saving his life by knocking the explosive implant off his neck, although it does then destroy his arm and vocal chords.]]

* JerksAreWorseThanVillains: Richmond Valentine is a very [[LaughablyEvil entertaining]] villain who even raises [[VillainHasAPoint a few good points]], and Gazelle is [[EvilIsCool just plain cool.]] Eggsy's [[AbusiveDad abusive stepfather]] on the other hand, is a full blown HateSink, who manages to be more despicable than the real villains who are attempting to kill most of the world's population.

** On the other hand, it made the remaining participants more wary of their training. [[spoiler: Amelia apparently dying and the reaction from the trainers being "Oh well," would mentally increase the stakes for those remaining. Eggsy never tries to pull his parachute, because he's seen that, in his mind, the trainers don't care if they live or die, and thus, he takes Merlin at his word that one of them doesn't have a parachute, and by process of elimination, it must be him. They also to believe the test can potentially kill them, otherwise, the final loyalty test they take later on the train tracks everyone would easily pass and be pointless, because they would know they can't die during the exercise, and thus the "interrogator" must be with Kingsman and there must be a way to escape the tracks if they refuse to give up intel.]]

** Valentine uses one of Elon Musk's satellites as a backup when one of his gets destroyed. At the time the movie came out, Elon Musk's space company, [[UsefulNotes/SpaceExplorationTechnologiesCorporation SpaceX]] had launched only 15 times successfully and owned no actual satellites themselves. In 2023, if Elon Musk wanted to replicate Valentine's plan, he could do the space part of it trivially. As of May 2023, there are about 1.5 million subscribers of [=SpaceX=]'s satellite internet service, most of the user terminals have line of sight to at least half a dozen satellites at all times out of thousands (unlike Valentine's couple dozen total), and there are plans to enable existing ordinary smartphones to connect to [=SpaceX=] satellites. Hundreds of the satellites could be shot down with no significant effect on the signal so it's a good thing Elon has no plans to use them for evil (that we know of) as if so he would be virtually unstoppable.
* InferredHolocaust: [[spoiler:Valentine's HatePlague signal is in full effect (with a brief interruption) for about five minutes. It stands to reason that ''several millions'' of people, all over the world, would have killed each other by then. Valentine may not have reached his full goal, but he probably came a long way.]] It's hard to imagine how Kingsman could ever hope to cover up this story. It goes further than that: by the end of the movie, an enormous number of world leaders, military generals, and scions of industry are dead, and it would appear nobody knows why. Granted the movie's satire argues they're no great loss, but society would grind to a halt as people worked out and/or started fighting over who was in charge. The rest of the Kingsmen probably had a hell of a mess to clean up. The fact that even people like [[spoiler:Dean and his crooks]] managed to survive suggests that Eggsy, Roxy and Merlin did manage to avert most of the catastrophe. The keyword being ''most'', as very likely the situation is still a terrible one in the aftermath. That being all said, the movie's sequel doesn't seem to adress the issue, so it's more or less NoEndorHolocaust situation.
