* OldShame: Josh isn't particularly amused by some of his old techniques and habits for putting what's on his lists. Especially the practice of putting [[VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes2DesperateStruggle Jasper Batt Jr.]] in lists revolving around 'hated characters', 'bad/disappointing villains', or 'annoying boss fights', as within his community, it became so overdone and missed the point that he was really designed to be that way to deliver the message of 'revenge is not that satisfying'. At the very least, Josh still acknowledges the intended annoyance; [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqFlLktseQc Jasper Batt Jr. only made it to the Dishonorable Mentions of the Top Ten Worst Video Game Villains in 2023.]]

Josh vocalizes as clear as possible his resentment for companies known for taking advantage of and abusing their employees than those with respectable working conditions that otherwise make dumb decisions, and they tend to take top spots of the Company Fails list series (it would be at #2 ''at minimum'').

** When he started as a brony analyst, he made a declaration that one way or another, he (jokingly) is going to review ''every'' episode of ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''. Back when he was doing the more faster "In 10 words or less" or less format to cope with the huge number of episodes, it appears that he is actually to fulfill it. However, he only reached until the end of Season 7 before stopping, only doing sporadic normal reviews of Season 8's episodes. It was only until the release of G5 that he made another review for it and he reveals that the movie was the franchise's last chance to convince him that it is worth his time, as he was suffering from burnout from the franchise and he basically washed his hands of G5 due to his poor reception and by extension, the remaining unreviewed episodes of FIM.

** During ''Top Ten Trio Bosses'', Josh cracks a joke about how ''VideoGame/BugFables'' is pretty much a fan's response to Nintendo continuing to make games like the hated ''VideoGame/PaperMarioStickerStar''. Cue the September 2023 direct, which revealed that the beloved ''VideoGame/PaperMarioTheThousandYearDoor'' was getting remade. Seems like Nintendo is finally acknowledging the fans' views on the series.

** The moral is expanded in the 2021 Fails video: While it's true that companies are the ones largely screwing up in destroying their reputation and the industry's... the fandom/gamers or the news media are not exempt from this, this wasn't just a fault only found in video game companies. It's telling that Josh puts up the doxxing of Scott Cawthon of ''VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys'' (that he became victim of the cancel culture) high enough at #4, barely missing the Top 3, solely because he supported a certain political party. By the end of the video, he ends up having a breakdown that all he wanted was just to play games without feeling guilty or gets called out for not adhering to certain philosophies by merely playing those games he likes. In times like these, it's important to acknowledge that there's no pure good and evil side, both corporates and fandom have their own capabilities to wreak havoc and ruin the industry so at least the fandom (or whoever had more control on their actions) should try to keep their impulses in check.

* CriticalResearchFailure:
** He questions at the end of a countdown why Link can't just turn the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaPhantomHourglass Phantom Hourglass]] back around after the sand runs out. This is explained almost as soon as you get the item: the hourglass needs sunlight to recharge, and the Temple of the Ocean King is completely sunlight-deprived.
** The Number 5 segment of ''Top 10 EA Fails'' attributes the 3DO console to Electronic Arts. Though the console was created by EA founder Trip Hawkins, it was created independently of EA, being marketed by Hawkins’s The 3DO Company instead.
** Joshua stated that "twenty years ago, the Game Boy was released" in his Top 10 Sega Fails video, which was released in 2019. The Game Boy was released in 1989 -- ''thirty'' years ago.
** In the same video, he states that Sega outsourced the development of ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' to Big Red Button, the company infamous for ''VideoGame/SonicBoom: Rise of Lyric''.[[note]]He was referring to Sega's claim that the teams behind the well-liked ''VideoGame/SonicColors'' and ''VideoGame/SonicGenerations'' worked on ''Forces''. However, the truth was that a smaller team of greenhorns and a single developer from the divisive ''VideoGame/SonicLostWorld'', ''not'' that Big Red Button was given a second chance.[[/note]] Not only will any article you look up tell you that Creator/SonicTeam did, in fact, develop the game, but the part of Big Red Button's website that Josh used to show that they worked on it had "'''prior''' clients and partners" on it, meaning companies they collaborated with in the past. It's pretty egregious in a segment dedicated to pointing out the numerous fails of Sega's flagship franchise.
** In Top Ten Most Improved Sequels, Josh lists ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' as an honorable mention for saving its franchise, crediting the addition of child units and Casual Mode as factors into the game's success. While Awakening is agreed to be one of the high points of the franchise, neither of the features Josh sourced actually debuted in the game. Child units were also in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'' (though, to be fair, the mechanic was handled differently, and had not appeared since then until ''Awakening''), while Casual Mode actually debuted in the previous game, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemNewMysteryOfTheEmblem''.
** For Top Ten Hated Characters We're Supposed To Like, Josh was ''very'' misinformed about Iris Heart in ''VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaVictory''. While she ''is'' a gross case of AnythingThatMoves, she never raped IF like he was making her out to do. To his credit, [[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue the presentation of his cutscene example was]] ''[[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue very]]'' [[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue poor and uncomfortable to watch]]. This was addressed in the sequel video Top Ten Liked Characters We're Supposed to Hate, where he says that whilst he still feels Iris deserved her place on the list and the scene still looks like she did it, he acknowledges the argument that she didn't.
*** Additionally, he mispronounces the name "Plutia" as "Plu~sha" instead of "Plu-tia".
** During "Top Ten Video Game Villain Songs", Josh claims that Music/JonathanCoulton, the writer of ''VideoGame/{{Portal}}'s'' "Still Alive", was also the writer behind "Sweet Victory", made popular by ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants''. This is untrue, as "Sweet Victory" was co-written by David Glen Eisley and Bob Kulick; being performed by the former.
%% Please reassign to a more appropriate trope before uncommenting: ** In Top Ten 2020 FAILS, Josh lists some nicknames for the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic that wouldn't trigger demonetization, which include "Human Malware", "Winnie the Flu", "Pinko Pox", and "Commie Cough". The first one is innocuous enough, but the latter three are derogatory insults towards China, and Josh seemed to take them for granted. This gets [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] by Ari during a stream when Josh uses all of the aforementioned descriptions barring "Pinko Pox", which Ari calls out, albeit through clues, [[DudeNotFunny that those descriptions are derogatory]].
