By the end of the video, he ends up having a breakdown that all he wanted was just to play games without feeling guilty or gets called out for not adhering to certain philosophies by merely playing those games he likes. In times like these, it's important to acknowledge that there's no pure good and evil side, both corporates and fandom have their own capabilities to wreak havoc and ruin the industry so at least the fandom (or whoever had more control on their actions) should try to keep their impulses in check.

This is explained almost as soon as you get the item: the hourglass needs sunlight to recharge, and the Temple of the Ocean King is completely sunlight-deprived.
** The Number 5 segment of ''Top 10 EA Fails'' attributes the 3DO console to Electronic Arts. Though the console was created by EA founder Trip Hawkins, it was created independently of EA, being marketed by Hawkins’s The 3DO Company instead.
** Joshua stated that "twenty years ago, the Game Boy was released" in his Top 10 Sega Fails video, which was released in 2019. The Game Boy was released in 1989 -- ''thirty'' years ago.
** In the same video, he states that Sega outsourced the development of ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' to Big Red Button, the company infamous for ''VideoGame/SonicBoom: Rise of Lyric''.[[note]]He was referring to Sega's claim that the teams behind the well-liked ''VideoGame/SonicColors'' and ''VideoGame/SonicGenerations'' worked on ''Forces''. It's pretty egregious in a segment dedicated to pointing out the numerous fails of Sega's flagship franchise.
** In Top Ten Most Improved Sequels, Josh lists ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' as an honorable mention for saving its franchise, crediting the addition of child units and Casual Mode as factors into the game's success. While Awakening is agreed to be one of the high points of the franchise, neither of the features Josh sourced actually debuted in the game. Child units were also in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWar'' (though, to be fair, the mechanic was handled differently, and had not appeared since then until ''Awakening''), while Casual Mode actually debuted in the previous game, ''VideoGame/FireEmblemNewMysteryOfTheEmblem''.
** For Top Ten Hated Characters We're Supposed To Like, Josh was ''very'' misinformed about Iris Heart in ''VideoGame/HyperdimensionNeptuniaVictory''. While she ''is'' a gross case of AnythingThatMoves, she never raped IF like he was making her out to do. To his credit, [[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue the presentation of his cutscene example was]] ''[[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue very]]'' [[SlidingScaleOfVisualsVersusDialogue poor and uncomfortable to watch]]. This was addressed in the sequel video Top Ten Liked Characters We're Supposed to Hate, where he says that whilst he still feels Iris deserved her place on the list and the scene still looks like she did it, he acknowledges the argument that she didn't.

** During "Top Ten Video Game Villain Songs", Josh claims that Music/JonathanCoulton, the writer of ''VideoGame/{{Portal}}'s'' "Still Alive", was also the writer behind "Sweet Victory", made popular by ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants''. This is untrue, as "Sweet Victory" was co-written by David Glen Eisley and Bob Kulick; being performed by the former.

Fortunately, this was alleviated to an extent in his full review of the episode where he expressed that he wants to like the episode but is very put off by the fact that Luna intentionally created the Tantabus to torture herself.

*** Likewise, the "Blizzard Fails", while he put it on just #2 and only below the merger with Activision, and the ''Warcraft III Reforged'' debacle made it to the 2020 Fails video, in 2021, Blizzard got caught in a lawsuit-involving controversy which involved another horrific work environment and culture that ended with a female employee committing suicide due to her boss doing horrific sexual harassment on her. This controversy in particular made the #1 spot on the 2021 Fails list and even Josh states that this time, he can't even blame and scapegoat Activision like usual, it's all on Blizzard and he ended up once again "having to eat his words" back then when he said Blizzard didn't deserve all the bad things happening because of Activision's antics.

He then points out why he considers [[spoiler:the Elder Princess Shroob]] one of the most evil, vile creatures he's ever seen in a video game. For good reason.
