* TheScrappy: Layla Miller was not well-liked by the readers when she debuted in ''House of M #4''. People thought Layla was there for the sake of being a plot device by unlocking many characters' "memories" and the readers accused Layla as a SpotlightStealingSquad when the readers wanted to know what happened to other more important characters not shown in the panels. To make it worse, after Layla unlocked many people's memories, she then disappeared from the story and was not mentioned for a long time. Much later, Marvel retconned her looks, power, and personality. While she is still not a fan-favorite, at least she is not considered a Scrappy anymore.

MEH requires the character be irredeemable. Quicksilver is well known for having a case of Heel Face Revolving Door, and did redeem himself afterwards, so he can't be this trope.

* MoralEventHorizon: Quicksilver, while meaning well, manipulates his mentally ill sister to warp reality, mind-raping Professor X into helping them in this. Making it worse, some tie-ins clarify that Wanda's reality warp didn't just effect Earth-616, but every other reality out there, including ones ''in potentia''.
