* FaceOfTheBand: The band themself felt that Dagmar Krause was this, because she was the only frontperson they ever had and she was such a distinctive and charismatic singer. When she decided to leave the group, Chris Cutler told her that she was irreplaceable and, indeed, they never replaced her. (Krause was still pleased about that remark in the liner notes to the boxed set, 30 years later.)
