** The MLP sections of ''Beast Boy in Equestria'', ''End of Ends'' and ''Darkness of Dimensions'' contribute almost nothing to the main plot and are likely only included in the stories so that Mykan could upload these fics to [[Website/FIMFictionDotNet FiMFiction.Net]].

** The stories involving Stone Heart and Beast Boy suffer from this on similar levels. Stone Heart's stories are disliked because they all feature the same plot of him wanting to write the kinds of stories he wants to, with the only differences being what he writes about, how successful he is at the start, and the adapting out of Stone's former friends from "Writer's Blockade". Beast Boy's stories, meanwhile, all have him encounter the ponies in some way, treat them with hostility, and usually meet his end (becoming an outright villain is optional), and Mykan makes it perfectly clear that this is all that Gar is good for. With such little variety between the stories, many have started believing the stories to be interchangeable, and some detractors lumping all of Mykan's Beast Boys together, because the details are different, but some things are always in common.

** Most of the bitter protagonists have the same excuse. Stone Heart in his first story, Davis and Beast Boy in all stories, Snapshot, Strings, Helper Soul they are all bitter because a woman rejected them. The repetition of that plot is often criticized.
