While wether or not we're intended to like him is debatable, the writers have made it very clear that, because he's a villain, we're supposed to root against him. However, many fans found themselves rooting for Bratt due to how [[LaughablyEvil funny]] and [[EvilIsHammy hammy]] he is. It doesn't help that, even though his show was cancelled due to him growing up and going through puberty (i.e., something he ''literally had no control over''), we're still supposed to root against him.
