* Retrocausality: Could Spike and Drusilla's being able to love and feel jealousy have something to do with Angel's gaining a soul, even though that happened decades after both were sired? In the ''Angel'' episode "Why We Fight" it turns-out that his sole scion was 'tainted' by Angel's soul, and Magic may not care as much about causality as we tend to do…. Con: none of Spike's scions in Season Seven seem nice at all, but <handwaving about the The First Evil's being in the driver's seat when he made them>.

Otherwise how did they get his arms and legs off? The actors credited as "Teacher" and "Student" do not actually appear in the episode. The scene they were appeared, which revolved around Buffy running out of class after a series of dark thoughts about having sex the night before, was cut due to time.

Halfway through shooting the scene on Buffy's lawn, Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz told Joss that the scene wasn't working, so he moved it to the bedroom. Buffy is still heard saying she saw him at "the house".
