* SignatureScene: Pillman is perhaps best known for his "Pillman's Got A Gun" angle, where, recovering from a kayfabe injury against Steve Austin at his home, he produced a gun and threatened to shoot him if he saw him. Austin was then revealed to have come to his home, and though a shot was fired, Austin was not hit.

* MagnificentBastard: In 1996, Pillman wanted to leave WCW so he could follow friends who had been pushed out of the company to ECW and WWF. He took advantage of a storyline where he was supposed to be fired by convincing Eric Bischoff to publicly release Pillman's termination notice. Bischoff fell for the ruse and sent Pillman [[TooDumbToLive actual, legal, no-taking-it-back paperwork]] to make it happen. "Flyin' Brian" signed on the dotted line and showed up in ECW the very next night, having successfully gotten out of his WCW contract (and with the side bonus of making "Uncle Eric", sworn enemy of the ECW Mutants, look like a complete idiot).
