* AppealToFamilialWisdom: He does this a lot on his podcasts, invoking what "Mama Cornette" or his "Aunt Lola" used to say. His co-host, Brian Last, will occasionally question whether Cornette's mother actually said this, and sometimes he will admit to making it up.

** In 2024 Heyman was inducted into the Wrestling/WWEHallOfFame shortly before ''Wrestling/WrestleMania XL'' in Philadelphia. During [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvDzsO25Fdg his review]] of Heyman's induction and speech Cornette spends 90 seconds or so congratulating him and calling him the best promo guy in wrestling... and then spends the rest of the 10+ minute clip roasting Heyman for his personal appearance, roasting Heyman's son for looking terrified of being on camera, and saying Heyman's daughter should get a paternity test because she's too attractive to be Paul's spawn. Even Cornette's co-host starts getting a bit offended on Heyman's behalf.

* TheLastDJ: He is without a doubt one of the most talented managers and promoters of all time, a man whose love for ProfessionalWrestling rivals Wrestling/RicFlair's, Wrestling/JohnCena's and Wrestling/{{Ryback}}'s combined and has the knowledge to match. However, several things, including a caustic personality, a willingness to knock who he works for and his vision of wrestling not fitting in with "Sports Entertainment" or the Wrestling/AttitudeEra has kept him mostly behind the scenes, and he has walked out of or been fired from every promotion he worked for.[[note]]Well, almost every promotion. He actually had a completely amicable split with Wrestling/{{MLW}} - there was a bit of an incident with Wrestling/SamiCallihan on Cornette's last show, but that had nothing to do with him leaving (and Callihan would actually be the one invoking this trope that night). His second tenure with Wrestling/{{TNA}} also ended due to the company moving their tapings to Canada (where [[PersonaNonGrata Cornette isn't welcome]]) rather than quitting or getting fired. But outside of those two... He dedicated an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvUZ0dhicAM& entire episode]] of his podcast to running down his career quit/got fired scorecard back in 2019.[[/note]]

[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0CDThE69Cc The first]] was Cornette more coming off like a ''very'' disappointed father, as he's one of the few people that Sytch has always got along with (and vice-versa). * JerkassHasAPoint: This was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMPOJo2ChRY Cornette's reaction]] to WWE telling their wrestlers they could no longer take third-party deals with other media platforms (Website/YouTube, Website/{{Twitch}}, etc...) to make extra cash. After delivering a pretty scathing rant about WWE's practice of making all their wrestlers "independent contractors" to deny them benefits like health insurance,[[note]]He's also criticized WWE on several occasions for their (relatively) low pay, noting that while the talent in the "Big 4" American sports leagues collect somewhere in the neighborhood of half of all revenue in the form of their salaries, in WWE it's around 15% at best. Of course, none of the Big 4 sports leagues is a publicly traded company like WWE, something else that Cornette thinks has a huge part in all of [=WWE's=] various issues. Also unlike the players of the Big 4 (and basically every major professional sports league in the world), professional wrestling doesn't have a union of any kind. A few wrestlers have [[UsefulNotes/UnionsInHollywood SAG-AFTRA cards]], but those don't cover wrestling shows[[/note]] something Cornette believes they only get away with because Wrestling/VinceMcMahon is a big GOP donor (though the "independent contractor" thing is standard practice in wrestling, [=WWE=]'s "independent contractors" aren't allowed to wrestle anywhere else while under contract with WWE, meaning they are employees in every sense that benefits the company, without the company having to assume many of the responsibilities it would be legally required to if they were actual employees) and the U.S. government thinks wrestling is a joke to begin with, he then agreed with WWE about the third party deals, albeit for a different reason. WWE shut it down because it considers its wrestlers to be UsefulNotes/IntellectualProperty, while Cornette is against it because it always breaks {{kayfabe}} and often contradicts what's being seen on TV.
