Remington's overarching goal in Season 2 and his comics is to find a weapon powerful enough to kill Ush Galesh, a demigod who kidnapped his friends and changed his brother into a cat. In the OVAs we find him working for Ush, to undo Grany's curse.
Ush in the comics is a sadistic monster, with a penchant for rape and hiring thieves to break into his home so he can kill them legally. Ush in the OVAs and Season 3 is more of a NobleDemon, who doesn't hurt children, keeps his word, and accepts defeat gracefully (He also looks shorter than the comic version). This is quite a change.

These roles are, if memory serves: king/prophet/lawgiver/the generally inspired by the goddess guy (Chibi), judge/priestess (Mina), teacher (Glip), scientist/inventor (Quilby), [[KnightErrant explorer/defendant]][[spoiler: /king]] (Yugo), unknown (Nora). These are societal roles and archetypes, not {{Anthropomorphic Personification}}s. So the GrimReaper theme might be just for creeps. Also - by remembering every threat and way to fight you get powerful, [[WeakButSkilled even if you weren't]]. And the excuse you mentioned was pretty much his excuse in the show.

Turns out he survived the crash of the Zinit inside the Shukrute, and managed to get ahold of the alien specimens and Eliatrope technology inside to give himself a massive power up to finally be a threat once more. Alternatively/even better, both the Eliacube and the Eliatrope Dofus survived the blast and ended up in Rushu's world, so that the heroes + the Gods will have to face down the revived Shushu Lord once and for all.

[[WMG: The Eliacube can indeed reverse time 200 years, but...]]
* The Eliacube might be able to reverse the time to 200 years ago, but it has a small energy (Wakfu) efficiency, so a lot of Wakfu is lost when Nox is trying to reverse the time. Nox's technology and Nox himself are much insufficient to utilize Eliacube, so it causes only wastage. Let's use an example to explain. Think of a circuit with a battery, a electric-conductive wire and a lamp. Now, Eliacube is the battery, Nox himself is the wire, the history reversing is the lamp (going to light up). Here comes a problem: this battery is too strong, yet the wire is pretty much weak. 100% output from the battery (Eliacube), some of the power lost in transferring via the wire (Nox), some of the power lost in reversing the history (to return the Wakfu to the source, mentioned below). In this case, maybe the real power efficiency is lower than 5%.
* Nox is reversing the history, so the wakfu taken will also be reversed and go back to the source, and thus it is "depleted". So Nox is right when he says that all the destruction he has done will be reversed: ironically enough, even the wakfu he has taken also returns to the source as the result of reversing the time flow.
** Doubtful. If that was the case, Nox would've likely known about something that obvious, since he said he'd been studying the Eliacube to work out as much as he can about how to make it work.

** Agreed. If one looks closely in the bonus episode, Nox's family's graves seem to appear in a vision he has when realizing they're dead. Besides, people whose bodies are lost in a flood or other disaster often still get graves for them made in real life, so why not Nox's family if someone else (the wife's sister if she survived the flood and if Nox wasn't close to her, or other community members) cared enough about them?
