Sokka/Calum's moon girlfriend doesn't die in Dragon Prince, [[spoiler: but his dad does.]] Somehow Azula/Claudia and Zuko/Solem ended up with a good relationship... well at least they really care about each other in Dragon Prince. I'm not sure what the Scottish elves came from, but everything else makes sense.
