''Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana'' is the ninth primary installment of the ''VideoGame/{{Ys}}'' franchise, developed and published by Creator/{{Falcom}}. Initially released on the [[Platform/PlayStationVita Sony PlayStation Vita]] in Japan on July 21, 2016, ''Ys VIII'' was ported to the [[Platform/PlayStation4 Sony PlayStation 4]] on May 25, 2017.
