Hi there!

    Proposals (don't steal them please)
What's the work?

Game of Thrones: Ascent was a point-and-click casual, role-playing/strategy video game based on the popular TV series and launched in 2013 but shut down in 2019 for inexplicable reasons. You create your own character, pledge loyalty to one of the Great Houses and you have to fulfil quests where you can take part in some of the canon events or look after your holdings. The game has no cinematics, no movements from the different characters and no voices, the story is presented through text and the dialogue between the different characters is also presented in text with no voices and the only thing the player can do is select between several different options on what to say to another character or how to approach a certain situation. Despite this, the game still has enough plot and the character I am proposing is someone we all know and love.

Who is Ramsay and what has he done?

Ramsay Snow is the bastard son to Roose Bolton and is infamous for torturing women for fun. The text heavily implies that he murdered Roose's previous wife through the way in which Roose takes Ramsay away and warns him that his current wife would be safe and that he won't have "a repeat of last time" and in another option of the dialogue, when Ramsay explains to Wanda how they had few women after Roose's wife died, Roose stares at him and says "A tragedy," .

Carellen Swyft is one of the player's agents who gather information about the other Houses and ends up as handmaiden to Wanda, Roose's wife. She sneaks to the kennels of Dreadfort where he finds Theon (or rather Reek) weeping and tortured horribly (some of the torture includes being flayed and in one of the Ironborn allegiance quests, it's revealed that Ramsay has also castrated him) and his mind shattered.

After Carellen tries to calm him and leaves, she is caught by Ramsay who gives her a headstart to run into the forest before he chases after her with his dogs and tries to hunt her down. Fortunately, Roose arrives just in time to save her and his dialogues with Ramsay as well as Ramsay's description of being a sadist who tortures women, show that Ramsay regularly does similar things to other women.

Later, they try to prepare Theon and make him look somewhat human again to convince the Ironborn soldiers at Moat Kailin to surrender and Roose assigns Carellen to help him after he rejects Ramsay's proposal to flay more of his fingers. The process is difficult because Theon is so traumatized he cowers in fear whenever Carellen enters the room and sobs whenever he has to talk to other people but make some progress after a week.

After Theon convinces the Ironborn at Moat Kailin to surrender, Ramsay says that he plans to flay them alive even though he had promised to treat them well. As an extra Kick the Dog moment, Theon must round them up and lead them to the place where they would be flayed or else, Ramsay is going to flay Carellen alive for failing to make Theon obey him.

Later, Ramsay is sent to deal with a band of Wildlings that had managed to pass the Wall and had been attacking villagers. Even if the player chooses the option to promise them mercy if they surrender, Ramsay still kills them but leaves one young girl alive, so he can torture her for information by slowly flaying pieces of skin from her body.

Who is Joffrey and what has he done?

Joffrey is the spoiled child Prince to the Iron Throne who is known for his cruelties. After he lies about Arya and the butcher's boy, Mycah, attacking him which leads to Mycah losing his life when Cersei and Joffrey demand his death, Joffrey is not satisfied because he wants to kill the butcher himself for being Mycah's master even though he had nothing to do with the accident. He sends Sandor and the minstrel, Kirth, to kill the man and Kirth has the option to either sabotage this or go along and participate.

Joffrey also has Ned Stark beheaded even though Cersei advised him to send Ned to Wall after Ned states that Joffrey is the rightful King which ensures a civil war would happen. Multiple characters throughout the quests reveal that he spends most of his time tormenting Sansa Stark even if we don't get details.

When a hungry crowd of people cries out to Joffrey for bread after they had sent Myrcella away and one person throws dung at him, Joffrey orders his guards to kill everyone (which doesn't happen because the crowd is too numerous for his guards to deal with, so they have to run away).

After news of King Renly's demise come to King's Landing, Joffrey orders all the people who expressed support for him to be hunted and killed. Ser Hugo can either go along with the orders or help the supporters behind Joffrey's back.

During the Battle of Blackwater, a Kingsguard tries to assassinate Tyrion but fails. Tyrion suspects that the person behind this is either Joffrey or Cersei, but after he has conversation with his sister, he realizes that she is honest with him and the real perpetrator is actually Joffrey. Tyrion takes his revenge by having Joffrey's crossbow stolen for a short period of time. When the crossbow gos missing and is then found under Joffrey's bed, he is so furious that he is "on the verge of ordering mass execusions" as the text describes it.

Joffrey is also infamous for regularly having fun with girls by torturing them for hours before killing them and at one point orders the Gold Cloaks and Ser Hugo to get him some girls from the streets of King's Landing, so he can do that to them. The Gold Cloaks decide to pick up orphan girls that no one would miss and Ser Hugo has the option to either go along with the orders or try to save the girls. If the orphan girls are delivered successfully to Joffrey, their screams would sound for hours.

When Littlefinger discovers that the prostitute Ros is actually a spy to Varys, he has her delivered to Joffrey where she suffers the same fate and the characters trying to save her find only her mutilated corpse after Joffrey is done with her.

After the Red Wedding where Robb and Catelyn are killed, Joffrey orders city-wide celebrations. He has many wolves in King's Wood hunted down and killed, mounts the heads of many Northern bannermen who died during the Red Wedding along one of the streets and also orders everyone of Northern origin who lives in King's Landing to be arrested because he plans to show no mercy to anyone who supported Robb Stark. This ends up with many citizens of Northern origin fleeing from the city while everyone who stays is arrested simply for originating from the North.

Just like in canon, he gets poisoned during his wedding to Margaery and dies.

I might have another candidate from Monster. Not sure about him though, but you decide.

What's the work?

Monster is manga series written by Naoki Urasawa which has an anime adaptation. Dr. Kenzo Tenma is the main protagonist who values all life as equal and tries to uphold his moral values even in the face of depravity. Long story short, one day he saves the life of the young boy Johan Liebert who later turns out to be a psychopathic serial killer. Tenma goes around Germany (and even outside of it) to stop Johan from killing people.

Today, I will be discussing the nameless monster from picture book, Obluda, written by Franz Bonaparta which is actually what inspires Johan after hearing the story.

Who is the nameless monster? What has he done?

The story is the following. A nameless monster wants to have a name, so he splits into two and the two new monster go in different directions, one to the East and one to the West.

The monster which went to the East came across a human village and asked Otto the blacksmith to give him his name and he would make him stronger. Otto agrees and the monster enters his body and makes him stronger but after a certain period of time, the monster eats him from the inside out.

The monster repeated that process with Hans the shoemaker and Thomas the hunter.

Then, he went to a castle. The Prince Johan gave him his name and allowed him to enter his body if the monster cured him. He bided his time for awhile until he grew hungry and decided to use the boy to eat the King as well as every single person inside the castle.

Then, the monster still possessing the young Prince leaves the castle and meets with "his other half", the monster who went to the West.

The monster who went to the East brags about his new name, but the monster who went to the West says that he is happy with being a nameless monster and they don't need names. This causes the monster who went to the East to eat the monster who went to the West.

    Write-ups
  • Joffrey Baratheon is the spoiled heir to the Iron Throne. After the butcher's boy, Mycah, is killed for supposedly attacking him, Joffrey sends people to murder his master as well, even though the man had nothing to do with the incident. Upon ascending the throne, Joffrey executes Ned Stark despite Cersei's advice, ensuring there would be a war between the Starks and the Lannisters. His reign filled with pointless cruelties, Joffrey orders a crowd of starving peasants killed for one of them throwing dung at him, torments his future bride, Sansa Stark, attempts to have anyone who had expressed support for Renly Baratheon murdered, tries to assassinate his uncle, Tyrion Lannister, has anyone of Northern origin in King's Landing imprisoned out of bigotry and regularly satiates his sexual desires by kidnapping and torturing young girls for hours before killing them, inflicting the same fate on the prostitute, Ros, when Littlefinger delivers her to him.
  • Ramsay Snow is the bastard son of Roose Bolton and an infamous sadist who regularly tortures women. He selects Carellen Swyft as his latest victim and chases her with dogs in the forest in an attempt to kill her before being stopped by Roose. Ramsay has inflicted such horrific torments on Theon Greyjoy like skinning and gelding him, that he has been reduced to a traumatized and deranged wretch known as Reek. After the Ironborn soldiers at Moat Kailin surrender to House Bolton, Ramsay decides to flay them alive anyway and orders Theon to personally lead them to him to inflict even more psychological torment on his captive. When Theon refuses, Ramsay threatens Carellen he would skin her alive if she doesn't make Theon obey him. After defeating a band of raiding Wildlings, Ramsay captures a young girl whom he tortures for information by flaying bits of skin from her body.

  • Gul'dan corrupts his fellow Orcs by making them drink demon blood, twisting them into bloodthirsty savages. After killing most non-Orc inhabitants on Draenor and ruining the world, Gul'dan plans to invade Azeroth and subject it to the same fate. Starting the invasion by exterminating several Human settlements, Gul'dan takes captives and allows his sadistic minion Ur'aman to torture them for information and rape the females to test if they can give birth to half-Orc children. Not even his own followers are safe from his cruelty as Gul'dan often throws away their lives to secure more control over the Horde and tries to slaughter the peaceful Frostwolf Clan after promising them safe passage through the portal.
