HI, everyone! I'm MidnightWolf!

I'm a longtime tvtropes fan and sometimes-contributor. I mostly focus my energies on writing fanfiction and my own original stories, but I am currently working on adding to and updating the fanfic recommendations page for The Originals. You can find me on fanfiction.net under the username LinariteLavanya and on AO 3 as MYuzuki.

I'm the author of the (currently ongoing) Originals fic, Inevitable, which features an eventual Elijah/OC romance as well as good character building and what I like to think is a good original story-line mixed in the with plot from the TV show. I also have a Star Trek fanfiction titled Elaria that features a Khan/OC romance, but it's on something of a hiatus for now due to most of my writing focus being split between Inevitable and my own original stories, some of which I'm working on getting published.

Currently, I'm focused on adding to the Originals fanfic recs. I've also decided to make it (one of) my (many) personal missions to flesh out the pages relating to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series, as well as eventually create pages for her League series.

In general, I'm a fan of all sorts of different things, ranging from things like Pokemon, Xiaolin Showdown, and Yu-Gi-Oh (I grew up on the original series and have a strong love for 5D's and Arc-V) to more grown-up things like Avengers, Sherlock, The Originals, the X-Files, Supernatural...you get the idea. I also read a lot; my favorite authors are Sherrilyn Kenyon, Nalini Singh, and Patricia Briggs. I am a sucker for urban fantasy and fantasy in general, and I also love well-written sc-fi. I also seem to like movies that no one else likes; one example is that I actually liked Jupiter Ascending and even bought the DVD.

Also, I'm a very intense Oxford comma supporter. Just sayin'. XD

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to being more active on this site!

Tropes that can apply to me, if you're curious:

  • Beware the Nice Ones: I am a sweet and friendly person 99.9% of the time, but if I lose my temper you should probably find someplace else to be.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: A little bit, I think.
  • Determinator: Mixed with a bit of Plucky Girl and possibly one of my most defining traits? Mostly I think it's just that I'm very stubborn and don't like quitting. Unless of course we're talking story ideas, in which case I have a whole stack of WI Ps I may or may not go back and finish.
  • Forgets to Eat: Usually when I'm focused on my writing; hours can pass right on by without me remembering that, hey, maybe I should have a meal or something. Technically I suppose you could attribute it to being a Workaholic. That being said, when I do eat, I can be a Big Eater.
  • Friend to All Children: I love kids. They're adorable and so much fun. I don't have any of my own yet, but I do possess a very handy knack for calming the screaming babies and toddlers that I encounter.
  • Genki Girl: About 95% of the time, I'm told; a friend from work once described me as "a puppy you can't turn off" on account of my energy level in the morning.
  • Good Samaritan: Probably my other most defining trait, at least according to other people. I don't think I'm all that impressive with it, but others seem to think I'm a compassionate and generous person? Mostly I'm just that chick who tips a twenty for a friendly waitress and buys donuts for my co-workers.
  • Motor Mouth: When I get excited and talk too fast. Which is about 85% of the time.
  • Super-Stoic Shopkeeper: I work retail, so this is pretty much a given.
