Doctor Manhattan is a supernatural being, born September 7, 1929, in an alternate reality commonly referred to as Earth/0, or Earth divided by Zero, who was apprenticed into watchmaking by his father until after World War II, where he devoted his life to and graduated from Harvard University with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Subject of Nuclear Physics. On August 8, when he was leaving for the day, he went to retrieve his watch from the Hyper-Magnetic intrinsic field when the door shut, causing the test to begin, where the power of several hundred kiloteslas literally ripped his atoms apart. After re-forming his atoms, he now perceives time as a Timey-Wimey Ball, and has absolute control over all matter.
