- Awesomeness Withdrawal (Troper Tales) Tale "After a friend convinced this troper to start watching Bleach, he spent a few weeks watching the dubs, especially on a week of vacation where it was basically non-stop anime all day, every day. After he finished the 180 or so translated episodes... well, the one-episode-a-week schedule, like normal anime, is quite a jarring contrast. (So many names have been forgotten that it's shameful...) The exact same thing happened with a reread of Homestuck a month or so later, during yet another week of vacation."
- Evil Laugh (Troper Tales) Tale "Likewise, this troper's evil laugh has become so famous that people that he's never met have asked him to do it, as well as the laugh being a subject of discussion in another class' math class. The troper has a typical "evil" laugh, a Laharl-like laugh that he sometimes adds to the end of the first laugh, as well as a "crazy" laugh, which he abused to no end on Hallowe'en."
- Everybody Hates Mathematics (Troper Tales) Tale "Subverted by this troper and his friends as well, but he'd like to say that it's really the teacher who doesn't realize how bad he makes it; it's played straight by a classmate, who complains that our Physics teacher pretty much only "explains" to the ones who understand already and that people lagging behind like him aren't given the chance to catch up, no matter the new "teaching method" he uses or the attempts to include them in class activities. (It's been beginner calculus so far, by the way.)"
- I Want My Beloved To Be Happy (Troper Tales) Tale "Well, I loved her for four years, and (for Valentine's day) just gave her a hand-made bouquet of roses. Well, the next day, she messages me and says that she doesn't like me back like I do her, having been confused herself with her emotions... for a few months. I've given up to let her think it over, but we have established that our friendship is key and that I'd support her no matter what she does, even if that means choosing someone else... which is basically the trope in question."
- Named Like My Name (Troper Tales) Tale "This troper shares a first name with a British king, a famous detective story writer and a kid's show's main character, while his middle name is like three Belgian kings and a musician. As a joke, he would also mentions his last name, which is "like his father's"... if anyone actually bugged him about his name."
- Pokemon (Fridge Brilliance) Tale "In Black and White, I realised on a second playthrough that after saving Bianca's Munna early on, Iris gives you a Yache berry. Of course the Dragon gym leader gives you a berry lowering Ice damage!"
- The Tetris Effect (Troper Tales) Tale "Similarly, after one day of playing the eight official Touhou game and testing the Danmakufu program (where you can create patterns), this troper found that avoiding people in crowded hallways both became easier and much more fun, as well as started seeing patterns with his eyes closed. In fact, because of Danmakufu, one can sync bullet patterns to background music, leading to something similar to the Step Mania and Guitar Hero examples above."
- Vetinari Job Security (Troper Tales) Tale "I went through something quite similar in my orchestral band at the Christmas concert during the last year of school. After missing a week from generally over-working myself on projects and all, which meant being absent from the weekly band practice, the leader called me at home to make sure I was okay and ready for the concert the next day; when I came to see them on the special pre-concert practice it seems like the other clarinets were ready to give up without my lead. (Thankfully, they seem to have improved and I think they'd manage now.)"
