* RetroactiveRecognition: Gutter is played by eventual ''Film/IronMan'' and ''Series/TheMandalorian'' director Creator/JonFavreau.
* VindicatedByCable: Not a huge hit when released - the ad campaign was forgettable - the movie picked up a following thanks to repeated airings on Creator/ComedyCentral and some of the cast - Piven and Spade especially - becoming known actors.

"modern word processors" - do they mean computers? I don't know of ANY that come with an internal battery backup and external battery backup would be connected to the outlet, not the computers, so unplugging them from the wall would cause them to turn off anyway

* TechnologyMarchesOn: The computers in the computer lab are all taken down when Tom accidentally trips on a power cord. They have no automatic backup as modern word processors do to avoid just this sort of accident.

* DawsonCasting: Nobody in this movie (except maybe Katy and Tom) passes for college-aged. Justified in that half the campus are career students going well into their 20s. Jeremy Piven's character is at least said to be in his seventh year of college.

Hey Its That Guy cut by TRS decision. Ditto for Hey Its That Voice.
