* RoleReprise: As noted above, Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, and John Hurt reprise their respective roles from the live-action film series as Hellboy, Liz Sherman, Abe Sapien, and Professor Bruttenholm. In fact, as the movies were released before The Golden Army, this was the first time Jones's own voice was heard as Abe (having been dubbed over by David Hyde Pierce in the first movie). The only exception besides Pierce is Jeffrey Tambor as Tom Manning, having been replaced by Creator/JimCummings.

** A third animated film, "The Phantom Claw", which was to be the debut of Lobster Johnson, had been planned (Heck, they even teased it at the end of Blood and Iron!) but it never came to fruition. And according to rumors, Lobster Johnson would've been voiced by Creator/BruceCampbell.
