• The revelation of the riders’ grandparents. Not only are they still alive but it’s revealed they are indeed descendants of the actual knights of the Round Table. It turns out they all had to stage their deaths in order to keep the fairytale world a secret. One can only imagine the grief our main characters had to go through when they thought they were gone. According to Arthur, there’s an urn of what they thought were his grandfather’s ashes back on Earth sitting at home.
• The first casualty in the war on Ever After. Rob accidentally shatters Blade Knight’s Advent Deck box resulting in their contract monster brutally devouring them before their very eyes. Scissors is so shocked at what he had done that he cannot even stand. Faybelle Magics away the four minus Lash Knight who has just seen her own brother die. Rob immediately makes for the bathroom and starts throwing up while the others reflect on the situation. When hearing about what happened, Kyle has the gall to remark that it was for the best and Kevin decks him before snapping at him. From here it devolves into an argument with Kyle willing to kill if it means saving Ever After. Even Gabe feels shaken by the gravity of the situation. They aren’t Just superheroes fighting monsters anymore, they’re fighting for their lives.
