* Episode 9, Just when it seems Team Try Fighters has one, Shunsuke and his Mega-Shiki turn out to be still in the fight. Shunsuke gives a short MotiveRant, charges the near inert Build Burning with a finishing punch... [[spoiler: And then fails spectacularly as it's arm shatters without doing any damage to the Build Burning. Really makes you feel sorry for Shunsuke, especially since he's not a bad guy at all.]]

* As horrible a person as he is, it's not hard to at least feel a little sympathy for Saga when the WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue shows him [[spoiler: at the hospital getting his wrist checked out by a serious looking doctor. The X-ray that can be seen doesn't paint a good picture for his battling future.]]

The tearjerker part comes when she explains that he eventually sealed it away in the trophy, alongside his memories. In other words, in those seven years, Reiji was never able to return to fulfill their promise.
