The Next Step is a live-action Canadian drama series on Creator/FamilyChannel. It tells the story of the Next Step studio's dancers training to win Regionals for the first time in 10 years. The studio has three troupes: J-Troupe, for junior dancers; B-Troupe, for amateur dancers, and A-Troupe, for professional dancers. Tension starts when the new girl, Michelle, shows up and Emily, the dance captain, becomes threatened by her. This jealousy could get in the way of the dancers focusing on their top priority of teamwork and winning Regionals.
