** Taken UpToEleven on a couple of occasions where he's faced off against ''multiple'' skunks at once, in confined spaces, no less.

* NiceHat: Everybody on the turtle crew has their own style of headwear. Turtleman however has a ballcap with built in LED for crawl hole work, and his other hat has his lucky hawk feathers and has been used to apprehend several nuisance animals.
** One episode had Turtleman don an antique WWI-era helmet as a 'hard hat' when removing "Santa Claws" (see above) from a chimney.

* KnifeNut: Turtleman always has his trusty bowie knife, Thunder, on hand for whatever task is needed. He uses it to shave, handle food, hack through underbrush and even pry open the mouths of snapping turtles that get hold of his hand and don't want to let go.

The show follows Kentucky celebrity Ernie "Turtleman" Brown Jr. as he goes about catching wild animals that have invaded people's homes and properties and then safely relocates them to the wild. As his nickname suggests, his specialty is turtles, but he's also caught foxes, wild boars, snakes, and raccoons among other creatures. Oh, and did we mention he catches nearly '''all''' of these animals with his bare hands?

* AdultFear: According to Neal he's always worried that the next animal they have to rescue is the one that will be the end of Turtleman.
** Turtleman has an intense fear of being called out to capture a loose skunk due to a childhood incident where he was sprayed and teased for it. To this day he still hasn't managed to get over it. However that doesn't stop him from doing it anyway and make every effort not to hurt the animal.

* BadassBeard: Most of the turtle team sport these, with Turtleman being the only exception.

* BeeAfraid: One episode had Turtleman catching a skunk that was raiding beehives. He laid in wait for the skunk by hiding right between the hives loaded full of bees, and somehow managed not to get stung, even when he was yelling and raising havoc trying to catch the skunk when it showed up.
