The Ringmaster contains examples of:
- Eye Scream: Captain Archer died when he and a friend played a drunken game of William Tell, and the arrow went straight through his left eye.
- Jerkass: The Ringmaster herself takes obvious glee in recounting the tales of her Clown's deaths.
- Von Foppington was a lord who mistreated his subjects and was lynched by them after they had enough.
- Laughably Evil: The Ringmaster is sadistic, but she's so gleeful you can't help but be amused.
- Straight Gay: Satan and his husbands, sadly for Mrs. Pazuzu...
- Undignified Death: All three of the Clowns died in embarrassing ways.
