* BerserkButton: What triggers Yugi to turn into Dark Yugi? Is it seeing the Class D bullies destroy Class B's carnival games with their okonomiyaki grill? Is it hurting Yugi in the process? No, it's seeing poor Anzu cry to herself.

The other Yugi calls out Inogashira to meet him at the space, where for trespassing on the souls of his entire class Yugi challenges him to a game he calls "Griddle Ice Hockey;" thankfully for him, Inogashira isn't one to back away from a challenge, especially since he always wins. The game uses the grill left in the space, already heated up to over 100 degrees Celsius and with a wall of brinks surrounding it except for two holes for each "goal" like an ice hockey table. The puck is a thick cylindrical block of ice with a test tube in the middle filled with explosive liquid; if it comes in contact with the hot grill, the resulting explosion will wipe out at least one of them ("Then you can find out what okonomyaki feels like... heh heh heh..."). For the last touch, instead of rackets or paddles, the players use short spatulas. Each side wagers their class's right to the space at the school festival. Inogashira agrees to these terms and the game begins.

An all-nighter by the class allows the class to repair and rebuild the carnival games booth just in time for the festival, and it proves to be a big hit.

[[FestivalEpisode The school festival is coming up in a week]] and Anzu, class B representative, polls the class for ideas for their class's booth. Being his first high school festival, Yugi is looking forward to it. Many ideas are thrown out, including a haunted house, making yaki soba, gag manga, and "The Real High School Girl Cabaret" (proposed by Jonouchi, of course). Eventually, Anzu asks Yugi, who hasn't given a suggestion yet, and he proposes carnival games, like at amusement parks. It doesn't take long for the class to steadily back this idea, and they all decide to go with it.

A montage of panels describes the three games they decide to feature: Bluebeard's Attack (a life-sized version of the Pop-Up Pirate from [[Recap/YuGiOhMangaDuel1ThePuzzleOfTheGods the first chapter]]), a bottle toss, and a shooting gallery (with Honda's air rifle). Additionally, Anzu drew the best spot in the house from the placement lottery, right inside the front gate.

Three days remain before the festival, and preparations are almost done. Yugi finishes building the paper-mache mask for Bluebeard while Jonouchi is just finishing the spring-loaded barrel, citing his building ability to his hobby of plastic models and garage kits. He can't wait to laugh at the poor chump who has to be the pirate... only to find that both the barrel and mask are perfect fits for ''him''.

Things, however, quickly take a turn for the worst. Senior class D, represented by horn-haired student Goro Inogashira, arrives with a massive iron grilling plate, and takes offense at someone else in "their" space, regardless of what the lottery says, as that space is where they traditionally make okonomiyaki every year. When Anzu protests, he tells them to scram. Jonouchi attempts to take them on in a fight, but he's stuck in Bluebeard's barrel, allowing Inogashira to easily slug him out. He then has the other class D students use the grill as a battering ram (with the word choice suggesting they've done this ''before'') to break down the walls of the carnival games booth. Yugi attempts to throw himself in the way to stop them and save the booth, but they plow right through him much to Anzu's terror. Inogashira has class D leave the grill in the middle of the wrecked booth (propped up on cinder blocks), which proceeds to dominate the space.

Yugi awakens in the school infirmary, with Anzu at his bedside. He asks about the carnival games booth, to which Anzu replies they'll just have to try again next year. He says they have to get their space back, to which Anzu agrees while looking away, crying. Seeing her cry causes the puzzle to shine... When Anzu turns back to the bed, Yugi has vanished through an open window.

Yugi calls out Inogashira to meet him at the space, where for trespassing on the souls of his entire class Yugi challenges him to a game he calls "Griddle Ice Hockey;" thankfully for him, Inogashira isn't one to back away from a challenge, especially since he always wins. The game uses the grill left in the space, already heated up to over 100 degrees Celsius and with a wall of brinks surrounding it except for two holes for each "goal" like an ice hockey table. For the last touch, instead of rackets or paddles, the players use short spatulas. Each side wagers their class's right to the space at the school festival. Inogashira agrees to these terms and the game begins.

Quickly, the senior figures the grill is melting the ice block, turning it into a moving time bomb, but as no one can match him when he as a spatula in hand, he figures keeping up his power and speed in returning the "puck" will ensure it's on Yugi's side when it melts down enough. Yugi is quickly challenged by Inogashira's power; it takes all the gamer has to just send the block back. He scrambles for a way to use his opponent's speed and strength against him and comes up with a solution: he holds the spatula vertically to push the block back. Gloating, Inogashira looses his most powerful swing... which ''breaks the block in half'' thanks to Yugi nicking and cracking the ice. His last thoughts before being blown up are how [[ThisCannotBe his loss is impossible]]. Yugi claims the space for class B back while [[BondOneLiner telling his opponent]] that those who trespass in others souls always get burned in the end.

An all-nighter by the class allows the class to repair and rebuild the carnival games booth just in time for the festival, and it proves to be a big hit.
