When he gets far away enough, he slips his restraints and opens the bag... only to find a bunch of insulin in a cooler. Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham arrive at the 20 mile marker for the herd, their mission to get their half of the herd finally complete. They still need to put one mile between them and the herd before turning back home, but just as they being to speed ahead, they're suddenly attacked by a group of hostile men. Despite scoring a few kills, Daryl is separated from Sasha and Abe and flees into a charred forest. Sasha and Abraham manage to fend off their attackers, and Sasha admonishes Abe for being too jolly about their ambush.

Realizing that Tina is diabetic, Daryl decides to go back to Dwight and returns their insulin to save Tina.
Sasha reasons that it'll be easier for a tracker to find them if they stay put, so she and Abe hole up in relatively sheltered office. Abe is eager to kill a walker that is safely locked in a room, but Sasha chastises him for his recklessness. The big guy shrugs her off and stands watch that night. The next morning he finds some RPG's while scavenging for supplies, but sees the rocket launcher is draped over the shoulder of a walker that is hanging off of a bridge. Abe decides to try to take the launcher without killing the walker, but finds he can't without getting bitten. However, soon enough, the walker plummets from the bridge under its' own weight, leaving the launcher safe for Abe to snag. He returns to Sasha and admits she was right... but then says he's come to admire her and makes it clear he wants to be more than friends. He invites her to stay with him in the office, as they have supplies and shelter. Sasha's receptiveness is questionable, but she notes indirectly that he's still got Rosita back at home.
Meanwhile, Daryl forms a tenuous alliance with Dwight's group after returning Tina's insulin, and the group are forced to hide when the armed men arrive hot on their trail. Daryl lures a man named Cam into the path of a walker, which bites his arm. The leader of the pack, Wade, amputates his arm and calls off the hunt for Dwight's group. The four then find the graves of two people Dwight's group knew, and Tina goes to lay flowers by their graves. However, the deceased reanimate and kill her.
As they dig Tina's grave, Daryl takes a chance and asks Dwight and Sherry the three questions. Dwight says he's never killed a man as he fears he could never come back from it. Satisfied, Daryl invites them to join him in Alexandria, and the two seem receptive. Daryl brings them to his bike, which he had earlier hidden, only for Dwight and Sherry to once again hold him at gunpoint. Daryl is forced to hand over his crossbow and bike to the two. Sherry says they're sorry, and Daryl replies that they're ''gonna'' be before they leave with his trusty weapon.
Daryl finds a fuel truck and uses it to find Abe and Sasha. The three drive home, no worse for wear, and Daryl asks for anyone on the walkie-talkie. Someone finally answers with a "Help!"...

* ArtisticLicenseMedicine: The show's portrayal of diabetes is...questionable. Insulin brings a person's blood sugar down. Typically, if a diabetic faints, it is because their blood sugar is already too low and they need glucose (like fruit or a fruit drink, for instance) to bring it up again. Giving a diabetic more insulin in this situation could very likely kill them. The only reason a shot of insulin would 'fix' a diabetic who had fainted would be if their blood sugar was too high, which would only happen if they had eaten and skipped shots afterwards. In that situation, if a diabetic's blood sugar is so high that they actually pass out, they go into a state of diabetic ketoacidosis - or a diabetic coma - and have other problems to worry about.

* WhamLine: The final scene of the episode is Daryl, Sasha and Abraham driving home and checking in on the walkie talkie and seeing if anyone's answering. Just before the episode ends, they hear someone answering, "Help." While the scale of whamminess varies depending on who it is (Glenn would be whammier than, say, someone in Alexandria), but given the rest of the main cast is in a more or less safe place when last we saw them, calling for help is a wham regardless.

*ADayInTheLimelight: For AbsenteeActor: Only Daryl (Creator/NormanReedus), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Abraham in particular.
(Creator/MichaelCudlitz) appear from the main cast.
*BittersweetEnding: AmazonChaser: Abraham lists this as one of the qualities he's started to crush on Sasha for.
* ContinuityNod:
** Daryl's panicked, almost fatal attempt to shoot a walker while preparing his crossbow is similar to his situation in "Chupacabra".
** Daryl drifting in and out of conscious to see his captors around a campfire is reminiscent of Bob's predicament back in "Strangers". Thankfully, Daryl isn't the dinner of his captors as Bob was.
** Daryl asks the others the three questions Rick's group has employed since the end of the Woodbury War, as first seen in "30 Days Without An Accident."
** Abraham is slightly wary of Daryl after he abandoned them briefly back in "Thank You".
** Abraham is reminded of his past in the military and of his late family.
** Sasha admonishes Abraham once again for his devil-may-care antics with the herd back in "First Time Again".
** Abraham reminds Sasha of her PTSD in the previous season thanks to the deaths of Bob and Tyreese - in particular, her slashing at him in "Them" and her freak-out at the house party in "Forget".
** The leader of the hostile survivors gets bit and has his arm amputated to keep him alive, as has happened to Hershel, Joan, and Tyreese.
* CrypticBackgroundReference: Just who ''are'' the hostile people that harass Daryl and the others?
* IllGirl: Tina is a diabetic and requires insulin, which is the main reason Daryl returned the bag to her group.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Despite having returned to save the group who had captured him, and helping them evade some hostile survivors, Daryl still loses his crossbow and motorcycleand infamous crossbow have been stolen, and there is a possible new enemy lurking in the vicinity, but he manages to find a fuel truck that takes him, Sasha, and Abraham back to Alexandria.
