As the rangers congratulate each other and begin training as a group, there is trouble afoot on board the prison ship. Heckyl has promised Poisandra information in exchange for his freedom. He blows up the door to his cell, and heads out, but begins eavesdropping on Arcanon instead. Once he captures a glimpse of the Dark Energem however, his memory returns: Millions of years ago, he was but a simple human, striving to stop Arcanon from conquering the universe. He had stolen the case containing the Dark Energem and was running for his life, but was attacked, the Energem falling out of its case. In a scramble to protect the Energem, he grabs it unguarded. The Energem directly bonds with him, causing him to become Snide and lose his memories in the process. Snide would become an incredible danger to the universe, all because he has no memory of anything, while Heckyl can never remember how the two came to be, until now. He swears vengeance on Arcanon, at any cost.

* WorfHadTheFlu: Wrench is forced to resurrect 11 different monsters. Each of these monsters had varying degrees of success fighting the rangers headon, and facing several of them at once might seem too much. However, because he had to bring them back so fast, Wrench had to skim in some places (such as not restoring their voices), so that might make them weaker.

I'm tired of reminding you guys.

Zenowing has since had a change of heart, and uses his powers to heal the damage done to Riley. In the same motion, he also shares the knowledge of his power attack - the Prism Slash, which only someone of noble intent can use. He heads out to face Doomwing, and briefly is able to fight him toe-to-toe, but is overpowered by Doomwing's reinforcements. Riley, using the connection Zenowing gave him between the two of them races to defend him, while contacting the others to warn them. He reaches the monsters in time and uses the Prism Slash to knock the Dark Energem away. Arcanon retreats, while Singe and Fury locate the Dark Energem, leaving Doomwing all alone. The rangers ready themselves, until they are ambushed again by even more monsters. Tyler decides to Supercharge and go after Doomwing, leaving the others to eliminate the reanimated monsters. He and Doomwing trade blows, but not even Supercharge is able to stop an Energem. Tyler powers up using the Ankylo and Packa Zords, and is able to level the field, until even more monsters appear.

Keeper and Zenowing recap the history of the Silver Energem, with Zenowing finding it on Earth following the extinction event. Without any of the other Energems nearby, Zenowing built the Zords, which would awaken when the Energems bonded with a worthy soul. When Arcanon arrived looking for the Energems, Zenowing battled him, destroying one of his crests on his back; however he was pushed back in each blow. The Silver Energem responded to his courage and determination, bonding to him and creating the Silver Ranger. Arcanon fought furiously, and captured Zenowing, using the Dark Energem to corrupt him, turning him into Doomwing. He tells the rangers that the only way for him to retrieve the Energem is to destroy Doomwing, and dismisses the rangers, saying that they would only get in his way.

Doomwing meanwhile is pleading for his life, saying he has a plan to recombine with Zenowing; due to the fact that it was ''Zenowing'' that was chosen and not Doomwing, it makes him unable to morph despite possessing the Energem. This makes him useless for Arcanon, but Doomwing points out that if he can recapture Zenowing, the Dark Energem can recombine the two. Arcanon relents and relinquishes the Silver Energem to Doomwing, but points out that he either recombines, or he dies trying.

Doomwing ambushes Zenowing, who was followed by the rangers despite his warning. He tells them not to interfere, saying that Doomwing is stronger than any one of them. Riley counters that he cannot be stronger than all of them, and leads the team morph. Doomwing scoffs, and plows straight through all of the rangers before attacking Zenowing with a flurry of strikes. Riley refuses to give up, and prevents Doomwing from dealing a critical blow to Zenowing. In response, Doomwing hits Riley with one of his strongest attacks at point blank range, doing enough damage to physically hurt Riley in the process, despite being morphed. With Doomwing bearing down on the seven, Keeper teleports in and whisks them to safety.

Zenowing is outraged at the groups insistence to help, even saying that Riley deserved to be injured for ignoring him. This strikes a chord with Tyler, who angrily confronts his avian teammate, calling him out on his apathetic and cold attitude. Ivan and Kendall break the argument up and tell the human rangers to go and get some air, while Keeper and Zenowing talk it over. The attack by Doomwing left a big gash across Riley's abdomen, and rendered him unconscious even after he demorphed. Tyler is outraged that Zenowing would act so callously to being rescued, and the others pointed out that being tainted by the Dark Energem would have been damaging to his psyche, especially after being bonded to Doomwing for so long.

Doomwing meanwhile is having Wrench recreate fallen monsters en-masse to distract or destroy the rangers while he defeats and recombines with Zenowing. Naturally, rushing the reanimation process leads to a few flaws and glitches, namely that the monsters are no longer able to speak, but Doomwing is satisfied, as it doesn't matter if they live or die, they are only the diversion. He has the monsters ambush the rangers in the park, while he tracks down Zenowing.

Suddenly, Zenowing makes a reappearance, thanking Tyler for his help. He goes after Doomwing and is able to force him into a bladelock, releasing the Silver Energem in the process. Using the Titano Morpher, he becomes the Silver Ranger once again, and is finally able to beat Doomwing back. The seven ranger are able to eliminate every monster around, with Doomwing personally falling to Zenowing's Silver Prism Final Slash.
