These involve character reactions or dragons, which aren't realistic

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Even if a malevolent regime is replaced by a much nicer, benevolent one, there will always be some who liked the old ways better, either because they actually prospered under the old regime, or they're simply resistant to changes.
** Being a NiceGuy doesn't automatically make you a good leader, and you'll sometimes need to assert your authority when someone disrespects your ideas and projects.
** While the dragons' land is arid and not as comfortable as the ponies', it's much safer for everyone, as the dragons tend to burn things, even by accident, so they need to live in a rocky, non-flammable environment.
** People will notice (and feel insulted) pretty quickly if you keep ditching them for flimsy reasons.

* RememberTheNewGuy: Thorax never mentioned having any family, let alone a sibling, until now. Possibly justified, since his species lives in a hive where all eggs are apparently laid by the queen. Why mention one brother when you have hundreds?

* AbnormalAllergy: Ember claims to be "allergic to feelings". And being a dragon, her Breath Weapon-sneezing can be quite destructive.

** Spike assumed that Ember and Thorax's contrasting personalities meant they needed to be kept apart, when their personalities WERE the reason they came to Spike, who kept running off on them to keep them apart. He didn't realize that they would end up feeling insulted by what he was doing until after [[WhatTheHellHero they both came back to yell at him for it]].

Moving to YMMV.

* {{Adorkable}}: Thorax manages to be this in several moments, gleefully greeting Spike, being entranced by the Flame of Friendship, and making himself comfortable in one of Twilight's chairs.

Nobody in the episode said he didn’t solve it.

At a lake near town, Ember spots Thorax contemplating. The two start talking and they both learn they are struggling under their new roles as leaders of their species. Thorax has a rogue changeling group that wants to feed off others and has difficulty controlling them, and Ember's rule makes her think other dragons cower in fear. They offer each other advice: Thorax should be more assertive, while Ember needs to consider the feelings of others more, and they both realize they can apply these to Spike. Back in town, they approach Spike and tell him that what he did was wrong, but they forgive him since their own meeting has helped them greatly. As Thorax takes them into a group hug, Spike's scales start glowing again, and Starlight surmises that he solved the friendship problem -- the one that he actually created (and didn’t even solve) for himself. Later, Spike announces that today serves to honor both the ponies' ties with the dragons and changelings, as the celebrations resume.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Spike gets yelled at by Ember and Thorax together, for causing the conflict of the episode by trying to keep them apart because of his unfounded assumptions about their personalities, and not addressing the issues they came to Spike for.

* InnocentlyInsensitive: Ember keeps mistaking Twilight for Starlight and vice versa, claiming they look the same. Both of them are obviously [[PrecisionFStrike peeved]] by this, and Ember's stubbornness leads to [[DiggingYourselfDeeper digging herself deeper]] by (poorly) explaining why they look alike.

* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Ember has difficulty telling Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer apart, due to the two being so similar between each other. It devolves into a petty argument between the three, not unlike that of fans who argue with others who get names and characters wrong. She also lampshades the recurring trends of pony names involving "-light and shiny things."

Come on, people, Aesops are supposed to be simple. A mini-recap of the whole plot isn't an Aesop.

* AnAesop: Don't make an assumption based solely on little to no information (like differences of species), jump to the worst conclusions with it, and then try to actively sweep the supposed issue under the rug, especially when it involves two of your friends who have never met each other. You don't know for sure how things will turn out, unless you discuss it with them.
